I'm hoping to bring the Roadster up to the car corral. You going? I'll be there one way or the other (weather permitting it is Ohio). Later,Bill
We'll be there from thursday til sunday helping Sam(Bullet Man)at his tent. Look for the huge white tent with the Mooneyes baloon and banners. He's moved up to the center of the grounds this year(less mud and muck). Right down from the big rock at the Y in the road. Sorta behind the grandstand area.
Canfield is about the best swap we have around here. Much better than pittsburg-junk-arama Much larger than Randolph. Better than the Canton swap. When the weather is real good, its hard to beat without driving hours away. Spring is always the best. Summer sucks. Fall is pretty decent. They do it 3 times a year.

Wouldnt be Canfield without some rain. Suck it up and come on out. There'll be a slew of us there all weekend.
I've been to every one since it started. It's always a good time, but like all the swap meets most of the old gold is gone and and what does turn up is usually way over priced junk. Seems like my biggest purchases there in the past couple years, have come from the food vendors. It's also beginning to get a little too crowded for my taste, and I've actually been thinking of skipping it this year. What day to go is a question that my buddies and I discuss every year, Fridays nice and quiet (the way I like it) but there's not much there, Saturday very crowded but things haven't been picked over too much yet if you get there early, Sunday you get in free (not sure if you still do) and get to park inside the gates if you take a "show" car.
I didn't want to take a 3 hr. rd. trip to look at a bunch of tarp covered tables if it's raining there and not here. We got a smaller local swap on Saturday plus some kind of American Graffiti type deal with Cindy Williams going on here. I've been to Canfield several times and it is a really good swapmeet, my girlfriend still harks on me about not buying a Desoto wagon that was there about 5 years ago. Mainly looking for Anglia doors and a needle in a hay stack
I usually go (rain and all) but i'm going to Quaker too with the rest of the club. Rebel Reaper, Blew by You and a couple diggers too!
Was there setting up today. Alittle misty rain. Not too bad. Crowd of vendors wasnt bad for thursday setup. Look for the huge white tent with Mooneyes dealer banners on it and you will find us. We're going to Quaker for the Nostalgia drags sat too. Leaving the swapmeet around 3-4pm.
I can not go this year but it is worth going to if you can. My dad is taking these parts there for me. I will post the space number when I get it.
I will be there depending on mother nature... Usually a good meet and have found some great deals... Something good always seems to pop up..
I'm going out now to load up the roadster on the trailer. If you see this car there stop by and say Hi. Later,Bill
Spent all day there today. Not much rain. Couple spurts. Overall nice today. Sat and sunday are supposed to be cool(58-62degrees) and partly sunny. So not too bad. The sat. night is the first Nostalgia Wars races at Quaker City Dragway. I hear Don Moyer and Littleman and crew are already at the track camping out.
I'm going to try to go over there on Sunday. What time do most vendors start to leave? I don't want to show up too late.
