Sitting here having a beer with friends, and I'm trying to remember a brand of blower ran on flatheads in the 50's and 60's. Any players???!!!
I did, and fell off my stool. Trying to remember another one, its ....... Mechanica Italia or something similar?
I can't remember one. It was a small time family blower shop out of California, but can't remember the name.
That will be the one Rick!! No were there realy that many 39 Benzes laying about in SoCal in the 40's?? Be a cool bit of kit though!
This blower came of the spaling brothers roadster and then was sold to don blair in the late 40's and they both broke the class records with this blower
R.C, Thanks man, thats some interesting info!! I never would have though they would be around! Anyone seen a huffer off one of the five and a half liter Bentley Blowers on a hot rod?
Yep... And I'm pretty sure Italmechanica was SCoT ( Supercharger Company of Torino ), just one was put together with Metric hardware the other with Standard.
Sorry Skip, now I'm the dork.........McColloch chain saws also, he bought the London Bridge and reassembled it on Lake Havasu for all you trivia buffs out there! Metalshapes thats the blower Doc & I were thinking of..........thats 2 drinks down.
