after years of abuse of bias plys, I scored a free set of wheels and tires, that happen to be radials.....I average about 10k a year on this car, what a difference in the driving, no shakes, I used to have to keep it below or above 70 mph, as thats where the ride ****ed the most.....anyway gay for them, I only wish Patrick Swayze was a radial tire (roadhouse years)[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

No doubt they ride better, but they just don't look at home on that vehicle. Maybe some radial whites are in your future?

Well Sir, you sure put a fair share of miles on that old (beautiful) Hot-Rod of yours, and I know Washington State receives it's fair share of rain, but with all due respect I got to tell you, those bias-plys sure looked good, you might want to reconsider...
    God bless ya!

  5. Glad you like your radials....free is good....However, your car looked the part with those bias ply ww's.....Very cool ride!

actually I'm to cheap to spring for new tires, the fronts were out of round, and sticking them on the rear and burning them didnt work......so until then, the radials will have to do....I'm 40 now, so radials, crying doll, salmon color paint on my car, air conditioning....its my future, I just know it

...I've heard about you people over there with your "Applets" and your "Cotlets"!

hey, just don't start crying and wearing salmon colored pants, everything will be just fine. Wait, what do I know, I don't turn 40 'til the end of the year...:( Dang, I went and depressed myself. Again.

    (Nice car, by the way)

Cool car but I'll have to agree the WW's looked better.

The older you get the higher comfort gets on the priority list.

But what's up with the Tampax laying in the gravel in your WW photo..

that's kinda'..funny.. err. GAY ..err .. ahh .. Lesbi.. aaa... nnever mind

that is as screwed up as a football bat. Like the Bias plys better. Check Diamond Back radials for a happy medium.???

  23. Hell . . . I'm turning 50 and went away from radials, cause I wanted to replicate the look of a 60's comp coupe (34 coupe). Guess I'll see what it rides like!

I do know that when I had my 62 Vette, that switching from bias over to radials made it feel like a new car . . . just never looked as good!

power steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, leather interior...........I'm starting to get excited, back to my steam bath.....who's coming?[IMG]

  25. Well speednazi, lets have a bromance because I think the radial blackwalls look BETTER.

Phatrat and I were discussing this over beer last night, **** biasplys and the h***les they bring with them. CrazyD said it best yesterday as well "we are a long ways from everything out here"! That means hours of 80mph driving to get to things like the HAMB drags. The Tudor is getting RADIALS and you can look down your nose at my faux paus as I p*** your out of round ***es ;)

Dr. Freud might say it indicates a yearning for new technology. But then Dr. Freud would be at a loss to explain the Patrick Swayze reference...but I bet he never saw "Black Dog"... :D
