So, my wife informed me today that since she went all over the place Saturday looking for parts for her Falcon and my Falcon that we were going out today in her Falcon and I had to take pictures of her and I had to teach her to drive a three on the tree. First we went out and took some pics under the I-5 and then SHE drove to an alley in town where there is a brick wall and we took some more pics. At one point while she was trying to find first we started rolling back...I was yelping "rolling back rolling back rolling back!" there was another car behind us. All in all she did great though. There were a couple grinds going into second but not bad at all! Here are some of the pics I took.
Love that color blue. Clean falcon, hot wife lucky man. 3 on the tree so easy to drive jus don't slam gears.
my wife used to drive my fathers 66 belair wagon with a 6 cly and three on a tree and maual steering after she learned how to drive my 65 gran sport 401 4 speed as you can tell my father was'nt a car guy
Teaching to drive in that Beautiful Car, another car behind! Did your heart stop? When I learned to drive a standard the guy said Go out in that field and come back when you got it all smooth. Start stop , start stop. anyway........ Nice Car and Great Pictures
I learned to drive in a 3 on the tree 65 Chebby truck, also in a field. Im sure my dad thought he'd need to replace the clutch before I was done, but soon I was shifting like a pro(No Ronnie Sox, by any means). Glad to see your wife is into the hobby, makes life sooo much easier at home, lol.
people swear up and down that they are still available but I could not find them. I found these on craigslist in LA. mine are 13" 4-lug uni lug. Someone said they made a 5 spoke 4 lug wheel to. I have never seen any of those for sale. I am converting my wifes car to 5 lug 4.5 pattern and will have to start my search for Cragars all over again either going with 14" or 15". Once I do the conversion I will be putting my 4 lug cragar, 4 lug 14 steelies, and 4 lug 13" steelies all in the ad section. and thanks everyone...yeah I got lucky with the wife...she likes cars and pin-ups...but she still gives me crap about spending too much on the cars and my shovelhead...she says why can't you just buy one that is already done! I try to explain to her there is no fun in that but I do not think it has sunk in.
She has got to come out to Gasoline Gallery this Saturday, May 9th @ 423 Main Street, El Segundo. Hot Rods, Customs, pin-ups and car art. 12 noon till ?. Your wife would fit any one of those categories.
So, get her to get on here, and join the Ladies of the HAMB, and we can help her to further understand! We'll get her to start her own build and then she'll REALLY get it Great shots, great lookin' car, and, always happy to see another car chick around. . .
