That's super bad ass, I decided a couple of years ago that since all of the car stuff was spilling into the house we might as well run with it. We NEED some of those, thanks for the inspiration!

  2. I was in Fairmont several times during the last year. The guy that does some of the best powdercoating I have ever seen has his shop there. He did an awesome job on a set of wheels for my '34. Also, I've got a buddy (Bill Clark) who's taken me on a tour of some of Fairmont's garages to see some awesome cars (a bad-ass, blown '41 Willys coupe, in particular).

Yeah, I'm within sight of "old 35" (at the end of my street) and am within a mile or two of the "new" route. If you have to come down to survey the situation to prepare the quote, give me a call and stop by the garage.

Bitchen looking piece. Here's my lamp I'd built as an award for the Gran National Roadster Show "Suede Palace". Bell housing, torque tube, and guts from a floor lamp I had laying around. Made a cover for the inspection hole and had it engraved with the event and date. Pinstriped and clearcoated over actual patina.

Man that is cool,I dont want to rain on your parade but if your son is anything like mine(he,s 5 and very Rambunctious) he would be about the rite hieght to trip on the wheel and run his head into that ring gear and it wouldnt be a question of if, but when it would happen.

Good point about the gear, I should have thought about that, I have a scar on my wrist where I unbolted a FLYWHEEL underneath a car all alone, it came crashing down on my arm, lucky it didn't just smash the bone. But I have a series cuts from every tooth (it matches the flywheel perfectly) and dirt embeded in them around my wrist as a reminder... (A reminder to never do a clutch and flywheel job alone, on a car with a scatter shield and bigass headers, with only a floor jack to hold a beast of a 4 speed...) A piece of heater hose around it would look pretty snazzy and take care of that. Thanks!

(FYI, that flywheel on my shelf is the rotten son of a bitch that did it. I wore that clutch so far gone it dug down into the flywheel about 1/8"... OOPS! I just blamed the pressure plate)

Yep, I LOVE that car... Here's mine:

'cept since that was taken I put a CHERRY front bumper on it, and have uglied up the paint, it's pretty much flat now where I've been working on the body, which I've decided to go ahead and completely repaint (it wasn't a great job). I love my stance (it looks great from the side), but that Tobacco King's is pretty freakin' cool... Sometimes I get to thinkin... I always have planned on putting red-lines on it. I'm not really big on my raised white letters, but if I turn 'em around just black I think it'd make them look too narrow. Either that or somethin' like some MT Indy Profiles. That'd be pretty snazy too.

Easy fix for the ring gear hazard might just be a length of black rubber hose split open down the length. Just cover up the teeth with the hose until he gets a little taller.

Oh man, LUCKY! I'm a HUGE Tarintino fan (I have a Resevoir Dogs poster I haven't hung up yet, I still got 2 walls to paint and I'm hoping they paint themselves), I bet he'd be a hell of a guy to sit down to a drink with. I'm HUGE into his fims, I might just have to go watch one right now.

I HAD a Planet Terror poster... I have a HUGE MAJOR CRUSH on Rose McGowan... slobber... ummm... Apparently my overly crazy-ass jealous ex-wife thought I musta had a chance with her and smashed it (AGAINST THE MODEL A!!!!).

I got an idea of what ya can do and it will still look way cool.
I did this to protect a round marble table top when I moved and I think it would look just fine til he's a bit taller and more used to walking...

Go to Home Depot, find the 'pipe insulation' and buy a length of it.
Here is the link (with picture)...Pipe Insul.

Now, since it's gray, it's already metal-friendly in appearance. It's split down the middle to go around pipe, just push it onto the gear all the way around and tape the ends together and put that taped part at the back of the wall so it's not seen.
That should save you some grief from the Ex if he were to ever knock his head on it.

And, that is ONE cool ass table.

My boy Jarrett LOVES those Lincoln Logs, cracks me up all the modern toys and he's playing with (albiet a new box of 'em) the exact same Lincoln Logs I played with, which actually was the EXACT set of Lincoln Logs my dad played with. And they're still exactly the same!

The Tinker Toys are right next to those, they seem to have lost some quality over the years (not like those LINCOLN LOGS!), and Hungry Hungry Hippos is behind those. They give you these lousy plastic marbles now that bounce all over the freakin' place.

Yeah... I play with toys ALOT still. He's headed to his moms on Tuesday and Wednesday, I gotta get the shit to make a vinger/baking soda volcano and some Oobleck (I think I'll show him the Mintos+Diet Coke thing too, that's pretty fun). It was a compromise because I didn't feel like sittin' outside in the 58 degree weather.

No, can't say I've seen (not sure I knew about it honestly) hellride. I am waiting IMPATIENTLY for Tarantino's remake of Faster Pusycat! Kill! Kill! I think it's totally impossible for that NOT to kick ass. I love that movie!

I didnt know Tarantino was remaking that. Couldnt have chosen a better guy.

Hellride is definatly one to add to the collection. Larry Bishop, Michale Madson, Vinny Jones, David Carriadine, and Dennis Hopper, made in "the wild one" kinda way

Inglourious bastards is gonna be fuckin awesome!

Since I'm a fan of bikes (mine in my photo album), I downloaded HellRide.

    Fantastic flick for sure!

And that trailer for Inglorious Basterds was BAD ASS.
