Those first shot are definitely at Trestles/San Onofre, that parking area, cliffs in the background, Marine base, and THAT break all scream it. You can still camp close to the beach there, up on the cliffs, and walk down to the beach. Waters warm cause of the nuclear power plant thats cooled with sea water. :D You may glow afterwards, but it is a nice place, not as good as it used to be, but not as bad as it could be either.

Very nice pictures, sometimes I think about how great it was back in the day, they had the cars, beer, beach and women and a lot less bullshit.
    Thanks for sharing, mark

  11. Great Pic's, I think paperdog is on to something, that is a Dodge wc53 carry all going through the dune in the first pic, as well as showing up several more. Those guys are all clean cut guvmint issue hair and chute. Love it anyway, I still enjoy SoCal when I can!

Dog427435, I grew up in Daytona Beach. Your pictures sure do bring back lots of memories. Some of the places I don't recognize but most of them look familiar. I like the old BOARDWALK scenes. My era was 60's to 70"s. Joined the Marines and have never been back.

I love the picture of the cars that are half buried in the sand ,

like they might have been left by their owners for too long

and they have been set aside by the city for someone to come along and claim..

Looks somewhat like a junk yard ,
some of them looked stripped of some parts

others look like they have been their a long time !

I would love to know the story behind that!
