Bump for everyone who didn't get their car on the road in time for the Roundup (like me). Sounds like it will be a blast.

Well kinda look at this way. As far as the heat in Giddings Texas that time of the year being a natural born Texas boy I can tell you its gonna be hotter than a fresh fucked fox straight out of a forest fire. But for such a cool show that's just one of the dues we have to pay to enjoy a great show. Now on the other hand I've got some shop fans, nice large shop fans and a generator I could bring and a large canopy. And if you wanted to get real hillbilly rich if we could find a water source within a 100-150 feet from where we park we could go in together and also rent a large water cooled A/C fan or two and be living proper. Let me know if any of these ideas are worth while. I can damn well make it happen.

 

Me and the girl will be going to this. Maybe may a weekend trip out there. Hopefully I'll have something to show if now I'll just take lots and lots of pics.

after Round Up I flew back to Sacramento, was at home for 10 hours, got in the hot rod and drove 4 hours to Monterey, was there for 3 days, drove home, was at home for about 8 hours, then got on a plane to Iowa. I'm hanging in Des Moines right now. Been home 18 hours in the last two weeks. All the details for the hotels are at home. I'll have the info out at the start of next week.

Dont worry, this is going to rock. The hotel has a big parking lot to hang in and a pool. The other hotels in town aint far away... hell, nothing in town is far away .

We'll get ya hooked up with good rates and rooms in a few days.

Just noticed the date on this, guess you won't be at Midnight Mass this year. Good luck with the show.

 

yeah, it was the only date I could get at the fairgrounds for 2009.

Will have better scheduling next year.

 

Well hell, I had already booked a room at the Ramada, so it being the host hotels works out great. Although I didn't get in on the group rate, Oh well.

 

Just grabbed a hotel room and will register for the show this evening. That's a good hotel but I thought the pricing could have been better considering it's in the middle of the oilfield. Alan, the nice lady taking reservations wanted to me to tell you that the new "Billetproof" rate for a room at that Ramada is now $59 a night.

Two nights at $130. Guys, you can swing it. Get here. Make sure you tell her you want the Billetproof group rate though.

 

Just registered for the show and booked a room at the Ramada. Can't fuggin' wait!!!

 

Just got mine too... that rate rocks!!! She said someone just reserved 24 rooms for one of the clubs, so you better act fast.

 

Thanks for letting me know. I talked to the Chamber of Commerce and had them send the Goon Squad down to the Ramada to "negotiate" the rate

Just called and ask for the group rate,the lady said something about getting ten rooms and the price would drop..

 

Another note on the Ramada. It says on the web site that pets are not allowed. This is incorrect. I called and they do accept pets for a $20 deposit. So, now we can bring our weiner, um, dog.

 

Just called back..got the billet rate$65.00..
