How much did you move the upper top section in. You have done a great job in documenting the rebuild I am thinking about a 36 Vicky thanks for the great thread Danny.

You should consider making a metalworking DVD series, that will probably sell as well as the Vicky's.

    Just a thought...

I got the rear corner all finished out. The passenger side of the vicky conversion is pretty well finished now.

The Vicky conversion, on the sheet metal, is all finished!!!!

Next I need to shorten the wood inside and shorten everything that's involved with the rear side windows.

Then its on to the rest of the rust issues on the floor, quarter panels, cowl, and fix the hood, and fronts of the front fenders. Still a long list but all simple compared to what I've had to go through already.

Ive started working on the floor, and bottom pieces of the car. I tipped it up on the firewall so that I had easy access to all the areas that need attention.

I've been working more on the floor patching rust. I only have the passenger quarter panel patch to finish and then I can put back in the rear section of floor that I removed.

Do you have an idea of what the Vicky conversion parts are gonna cost?

I figure i've got about 160 hours just in the conversion on this vicky. Thats about $8,000.

Now this was the first conversion so the next one should take less time. Plus for the next one I plan on having a car here in the shop to take all my patterns off of. That will cut the time down some too.

Also I consider this sedan to be in average condition. The rear of the car had most all the issues with dents, bullet holes, and rust. If I were to start on a sedan that didn't have dents or rust on the rear of the car that would also cut down on time.

My plans, after I sell this vicky, is to buy a really nice sedan that is rust free. That way all i have to do is the conversion and then I will be done. That car will be my reference on what the price of a vicky will cost, since it will be the best circomstances to start from.

    Thanks for the question.

It's taking all my restraint to keep from asking "How much you gonna chop it?"...

I got the floor all finished up and primed. Now I can bolt it back on the frame and get the rest of the car finished up.

The body is all finished. I did some leading today on some of the seams. Now I am going to finish the rear parts of the rear fenders.

I worked this morning on the rear fenders. Now the only thing left on the car is the front fenders.

I worked today on getting the inside of the vicky primed so that the metal is protected. I also got the doors back on the car.
