I heard of an old truck in a barn a few miles from my home. This is the shape of the barn when I got there. I was very skepticle that any vehicle inside would be salvageable. It is amazing that the truck was not crushed. With the exception of one beam on the back board it is untouched. The lady at the farm did not know the year or make of the truck. I also am not sure. So if anyone can tell what it is I would appreciate knowing. Also she said make an offer for what it is worth. Can anyone help me with this also? Hope you enjoy.

    How cool is that!

It might be more of a challenge to get it out of the barn without the rest of it falling down around your ears!

$500 is a deal, even if you might get squooshed getting it out! Take pics, better yet a video, this could be gooood!

Ewww..be careful getting that puppy out of there..it almost looks like the truck is helping to hold up whats left of the barn.
I think I'd offer low..due to the job its going to be to get it out of there

Make sure you're carefull pulling out the old wood, and while your getting the truck out....be on the lookout for other parts.....they are usually lying in wait.

  16. Maybe work a deal to demo/haul off the rest of the barn in exchange for the truck?

Lots of work, but no cash outlay...get a truck for your labor, sell some wood, help an old lady.

    Just a thought.

  17. Considering the situation you're going to be in trying to get that out in one piece, I'd talk to the ol' lady and tell her you'll offer something fair AFTER you get it out. No point in offering money up front for something that has a possibility of ending up a pancake.

You're doing her a favour tearing down her dilapidated barn in the first place.

Believe me, that wood is worth MORE than that truck!

I'd offer to tear down the barn and clean up the job site, plus haul it for the lady in exchange for the wood AND the truck. That is a pretty labor-intensive job to get the wood out in good shape and get the truck out in kind. If I were not 1,220 miles away, I'd be all over that.

Remove the truck, get it running, then use it to haul the wood off. :D Actually the wood could be worth quite a bit depending on what it is and it's condition.
