  2. depends on what your building..remember an Anglia or Prefect don't weigh a whole lot..
Don't think I'd stuff it under a full size car ,and expect it to work.

Alot of guys who ran Anglia's in the sixties ran the anglia front ends in the gasser classes. I have read articles were cars have been destoyed from front end failures. In my opinion they are to light duty. We used our Anglia axle for a lawn ornament and put a super bell axle under the car for stregnth and peace of mind.

  10. Early, pre-1962 diggers, comp coupes, modified roadsters and maybe a really light altered. Anything heaver that that, go to an aftermarket tube axle or early Ford.

That's a full size Ford spindle, not an Anglia.

  12. That's a Willys axle in the Poison Ivy dragster. They were pretty popular in early drag cars.

This is a article from GasserWars Magazine (volume 5 / no.5) story and photos by Jim Lutz. I believe the Anglia ran a stock front end. Notice the 4 lug wheels. He broke a spindle on top end and went for a hell of a ride. Lifting the wheels in all four gears weekend the front end to the breaking point. Just not strong enough.

Little car = little parts. Anglia axles in anything but an Anglia with a stock engine will break. If the axle don't break, the spindles will.

To make VOLVO 544 spindels on Anglia axel its not much work. KingPin its around 2mm bigger in diameter then Ford. VOLVO Spindel looks like Ford 37-41 so need make new steering arm of same type P&J Speedway or what you want. Then you can choois with brake you want and at same time have US Ford wheels

Ok Paul, now I have pics on Volvo 444/544/P1900 Spindels on Anglia axel.
We did make kingpin whole 2mm bigger and a distance on ower side because Anglia axel its small. On left spindels we did make a steringarm Typ Speedways for steeringbox onthis pics we mock up radiator shell and see if its going down with new design on frame ends. We did come ower P1900 parts have a outer design on brakes then Volvo 444/544 and only made in 66 or 67 ex! Volvo have same bolt cirkle at USA Ford and easy to find wheels to and all its in inch
    Not the best photos:)
