someone always telling me that didn't make the size motor in my car, or people look at some of my custom parts and try to tell me they have the "exact same part" ,that's interesting because there's only one.

I took my 59 El Camino to a local car show some years back and overheard two old geezers talking about the engine. They were amazed that someone had put an Offenhauser engine in an El Camino as they thought that those engines were only used in Indy cars. Wow, I did I feel stupid as I thought that my El Camino had a 348 tripower in it even though it did say Offenhauser on those finned valve covers!!!!!

my old "mazhonzuki" has carbs on it, when it had the original single downdraft, stupid idiot walked up to me and tried to tell me it was the "fuel injection" , me, um no this car doesn't have fuel injection, dumbass: yes it does they all do, me:um ok i've been working on this particulal model of these cars for 15 years, have rebuilt this motor from the ground up,and I must have overlooked the fuel injection!! , dumbass: you don't know what you are talking about!!,as he walks away.

 

Honestly, I thought it was pretty funny. Then when I started telling him what modifications it took to fit it in there, he realized his gaffe and walked away. You can't make everyone happy, and getting a reaction is what I was after, so I guess I did good. Funny stuff

I was getting my hair cut where my dad gets his done as well where our barber has a picture of ny dads 50 merc. When this guy comes in saying oh i built that merc on the wall. I said you did, What kind of motor did you use he says a flathead, I say thats funny my dad had a creat 350 put in it, He replys oh ya thats a 4 door the one i did was a 2 door. The funny thing is the car has a one off flamed paint job

I have at least 5 people ask me every show why i have Tractor/Implement tires on the front of my T??? they are 5.00x16 Firestone Deluxe Grooved Dirt Track tires.....idiots i guess thats what i get for living on the prairies

I have a friend w/ a nice 37 Ford sedan & at nearly every show- some idiot will ask if it's some sort of modified PT cruiser.

He usually tells them it's an ultra rare prototype.

 

What color will you be painting it?

.... dumbass, the gray primer on it was rattlecanned in 51' ....

 

I'd have said to that asshat - "Don't worry, you might find a woman one day!" or "You might be gay, but I can swap engines anytime I want!"
