One of my all time favorite pic's. (sorry, can't find the original picture, so you gotta suffer thru the logo and tag line...)

This pic was shot while driving back from the '99 Lou'vul Nats. Dick Carroll (Evans and 3 97's & my hotrod mentor!) driving my '40 coupe, that he helped me set up the chassis, and me, driving his '34 roadster. That was my '40's first trip to the big Nat's.

That was just another ho-hum '32 Ford sedan back then.

 

I thought I recognized the headlight, due to the position, and then the big "W" in the sign at the left added a little extra proof. That's a Pierce-Arrow in the window.

Thank you for sharing these amazing photos. There's an America out there that we never knew. In shoeboxes and closets all over the land, we have these little fragments that tell us what it must have been like. It fascinates me to no end.
