  2. I still have a pair of American Racing (magnesium) LeMans series Torq Thrusts as well ... we
    ran them on the front of the coupe throughout the 60s, 70s, & early 80s:

    Some of the rarest wheels i have heard of personally are off of a Pontiac Acadian. This is the Canadian version of the Chevy Nova with some GTO and Ford thrown in there a little. My dad was buying a 1967 Acadian and it had rallyII's on it and he asked where the original wheels were and the guy said he left them at the tire shop to be junked. The guy checked back to see if the shop still had them and these ONE YEAR ONE CAR wheels and hub caps were tossed into the dumpster. one of the biggest shames of rare cars i have personally dealt with in a while

    I seen this post for rare wheels. I have a single wheel and was curios if anybody has a match or has seen one in the past. Any help would be appreciated.

    I know they aren't considered that rare in the US, but over here they are super hard to find. Here's my pair, 15 x 4.5" American racing 12 spokes. The nice thing about them is that one of the wheels has scratched into the inner tube valley "PRODUCT OF TOM DOCKTER". I like to think it was one of the blokes who worked in the foundry...

  12. I have no idea as to how rare this is, but it looks like a hardcore way to cool heavily used brakes.

    The front wheels on my friends 35 Willys sedan, in 1965 were stock willys wheels that we had chromed.

    Took this pic at Donut-derelicts last month. They are not the same, but have similar fins. I am guessing they are both Halibrands?

    SimonSez;

    I Spoke with the guy 3 years ago at the donuts derelict, if I remember he said that they was Bonneville Halibrand wheels.

    By the way he has the best roadster I ever seen, the flathead was pure art...

    Will try to dig few pictures....

    These are on my 40 Chevy. Still have not ID'd them positivly. They are knock off type. The story I was told by the previous owner was that 3 sets of these were made as prototypes. One set was destroyed somehow and two still exist. I dunno, but if anyone out there has seen these before let me know. I've never seen another set like them

    I have 9 of these beauties..... 16X4 one piece aluminum.
    Haven't found the perfect application for them yet..... maybe a narrow 27T lakes roadster???????

  28. Mine aren't that rare but you don't see many.

  29. My friend bought a wrecking yard 7 years ago and there was a pair of these in the old tire pile. The problem is there's no center hole, so putting it on a tire machine is out.
