I figure just about all the Top Kustomizers (Barris, Hines, Winfield, even my Dad (Dick Dean) have had their hands on this Gem at one time. So, now it's Keith "Kid" Dean's turn at bat. John brought this into South End Kustom last week and Keith Dean made the Electric Tonle Cover and straightened out some things including the Hood to fix the gaps. Here are some pix I took.

OK, I've made a new profile using "My" name and not a kustom one, no big deal .... just an F.Y.I. so, if you're lookin' for Johnny Rocketz .... it's now just Johnny Dean. I'll try to keep more pix like the ones I took above on here.

That's a pic of my brother's '27 Ford Roadster pick up when he first got it, it's come a Long Way since then. Not sure on what year the caps are, they didn't last long on the car. Check out his article in 'OL Skool Rodz Nov. '09 #36 Page 52 on your news stands now!

  14. Two points: Thanks for using your name, I think everyone should, unless they're hiding from the law.

Two...please fix the headlights on the otherwise pretty cool Stude truck. Whoever came up with that design was either blind, drunk or both.

I know it's an old thread. But this thing came out incredible when it was painted.

I met your Dad at the Portland Roadster show a long time ago. I was really amazed with his personality, and good humor. Then I started finding out about all the cars he's worked on, that he never got credit for. Not only a great Hot Rodder, but a genuine, humble man. I left so impressed, I forgot about the show.

I'm sure you've all seen John Saltzman's '49 Studebaker all painted up and on the cover of the Mag's by now, but I thought I'd share some pix I took at the 2012 GNRS. Enjoy!
