Jalopy Joe's car show pics...Ventura

Here are pictures of some of the cars at the annual Jalopy Joe's speed shop car show and pinup girl contest. Lucky for me this is about a mile from my house. I didn't get pics of the ladies but Bad Bob would have worn his camera out. Joe Moody is the owner of Jalopy Joe's and is a local dealer for So Cal and mooneyes stuff.

 

Thats a good lookin line up. I hate to see what happens when you guys discover air bags.

This is so cool. Even to the point of '35 Wires on a '35. How often do you see that...

 

Kevin, I can see why you did not post pictures of the the girls. Pretty rough from the few in the post. Does not someone tell them that are not working. It would be like me posing for pics at Venice Beach thinking I'm hot. Hello? Good on ya pal, Some cool cars though.

Holy Hop Up!! What a bunch of sweet rides. Joe's 35 is ultra cool, as are the v/8 door panels in the sick Joe's roadsterthat has tons of details, such as the smooth headers, wide 5's, on & on, wow! Worlds baddest 55/56 Merc. is always a treat for the eyes. I could ramble and gush about soo many, just an exceptional display of California Cool!! Some very hot scooters!! The creamy, dreamy, beautiful Bel Air 54 chev with the awesome flames and striping is ultra fine. This show is a preview of the back to the beach for sure. Please don't be negative on the Bettys, they are out dressing down for your viewing pleasure, and then dudes with bellys hangin over their belts are judging them, oh thats right, its ok for guys but the chicks have to be perfect!! Been there, done that. ~Sololobo~

Actually this pic is from the last year's show, happen to be the same weekend I was there picking up my Ranchero. They had a local roller derby team running around doing the pin-up contest as a promo for their team, nice gals but I wouldn't want to pick a fight with them!.
Yeah, Joe's pretty cool, die hard traditionist. I always stay a couple block from his shop when I'm in Ventura (quite often, my adopted 2nd home), make it easy for me to sneek away from the family and get some hot rod fill.
