Event Coverage Jalopy Showdown Pics!!! What Texas thinks of it...

Or a guy from Texas anyway. It was a great show, I'll be back next year with a car.

We were invited to Zach's Friday afternoon to hang out. I can't believe the work that comes out of his place...he's way to humble! Thanks for having us Zach!! And the rest of the Flyers.



















One of my favorite cars from the whole weekend. I'd own it in a heartbeat.....
















Then it was off to the show...

 

Very little surprise that this was the first car I'd see!





The Flyers and friends...I'd love to be in this lineup.


Caught this one coming in the gate, fell in love. One of the best there...fit and finish, stance, paint, all were spot on.

Didn't see a lot of customs (it was a "Jalopy" show after all) but this was a very nice Merc...

 

This one didn't belong at a dirt track, it belonged on the salt! Very nice...






Loved the beltline peak on this one...

I'll be back next year.....in the modified (roadster pick up?) or in something else, but I'll get something dirty!

The museum was awesome as well, you gotta check it out when you're there. I've got another 100 or so pics from there I might post later. OH, and I have a few videos too I'll upload soon. Thanks to all involved....I had a great time!

Thanks for the compliments on my A Sedan, it was it's first time out. Almost killed myself trying to get it done for the Showdown but it was definatly worth it, had a great time with good people.

 

Great pictures, thanx for sharing them. Good to see my baby-doll Denise having a blast on the track after her trama laden trip there. This show has to be one of the best "FUN" shows goin. Good also to get a stamp of approval from Texas!! ~Sololobo~

Thanks for making it out. Your car was the one that jump out at me this year as I was running around. If I bothered with trophies (never will) you'd now have one.

Thanks for posting all of the great pics. Unfortunately, as luck would have it my daughter's college graduation was the same weekend, so I couldn't make it. Hopefully I'll be able to catch the drags in October and the next Showdown!
