The Primates challenge you: design our drag plates!

The Primates CC of Chicago is a loose confederation of like-minded individuals who enjoy the traditional hot rodding pastime. Sadly, our automobiles currently lack a distinctive club drag plate. Although our membership comprises many talented and upright members of the HAMB community, our collective artistic skill is comparable to an epileptic chimpanzee with a crayon.

And this is where you come in! Please provide your visual ideas for our drag plate here. Themes revolving around simians, hot rods, etc. are appreciated. Once all the entries are in (say, 2 weeks from tomorrow), I will call a secret vote of the members, and the winning entry will be whisked away to O'Brien Truckers to be expertly cast in high-quality aluminum.

So what's in it for you? Unfortunately, not much. If your design is selected, there's always that feeling of smug satisfaction of having vanquished your foes upon the battlefield of graphic design. But as an added bonus, we'll throw in 50 bucks and 2 free drag plates as a memento of your historic victory.

The Iron Lords have been debating plates for like 5 months now. Pretty difficult unless one person take the rains and the rest just follow.

If I know anything it's that Mike Zenor is a man with tast from his homes to his cars everything is first class. If I get some spare time I will give it a whirl. I always enjoy doing stuff for other people rather then for myself. Best of luck to everyone.

seeing as how my roomate's nick is Monkey/monkeyman, I have a plethora of primate reference material in my flash collection- I got 5 evening of nuthin to do, so I'll pull out my pens an start a sketchin' tonight when I get home!

 

how bout a chimp w/ a shriners hat/ or top hat and a monocle(sp) with primates on the bottom?... ill doodle somethin up today.

I just spent several very enjoyable minutes googling "funny monkey pictures".
Monkeys rule. Then I googled Largest rabbit and found the freakishly large Flemish Giant Rabbit. I recommend not googling either of these things if you've ever done any drugs of any kind.

some good ideas so far! What about a logo where it starts off as an upright man, and devolves into a hairy hotrodder? maybe not for a plaque but that would be cool.

I have a feeling that this will be one of the best HAMB threads ever.

Think something like Lancelot Link, FuManchu moustache, monocle, fez hat, bowler. Great stuff.

 

How about that monkey playing the symbols, just hang one of those off the back.
