The Primates challenge you: design our drag plates!

  1. Here's one from Todd Goering (a buddy of mine at work), using the knuckle dragging theme...

I like Zenor's font. Reminds me of Sat. cartoons.

i say you take this classic monkey and pick a cool font and engrave your name into it somehow. that would be sweet! it wouldnt even need to be big. it could just hang off your license plate, and everyone would know what club you guys are. instead of the standard plate shape.

What about a Banana Monkey Car, except hot rodded...big V8 sticking up in front, and smoking hot rod wheels...Rat Finkish.

The single "Barrel of Monkeys" is cool,But THIS one gets my vote!

What if you to mount it with chain to a retractable license plate mount?
That way you "hit the switch" and it will drop down and drag the pavement.

Put a big wrench in both hands and make it a rectangular plate.

I like the missing link plate, but it needs to hang from two monkeys outta the barrel.

don't have time to draw right now, but here's an idea / thoughts to visualize:

    - the typeface that mike's buddy did is great. the swinging monkey is great. merge.

    - take the typeface and put it across the upper arms and chest of the monkey. chicago underneath that on his chest.

    - mount the upper arm to the car, in a way that it can dangle side to side.

    - put knuckles on the lower arm and let them either drag on the ground, or close to the ground.

    - end result: dangling primate who holds onto the car with one arm-- like a swinging primate..... and the knuckles drag on the ground with the other.

I'd be stoked to see that plaque. Do something original. All to often "traditional" seems to mean copy everything that's already been done...... and original hot rodders were more innovators of original versus sheep copying others. Don't make it like everything else that's been done...

  20. Have you read about Ada?

The recent find that science is purporting to be the missing link.

Ada is a cross between monkey and lemur.

Basics are it was found in a fossil rich area in Germany and smashed quite flat after 47 million years of being under the soil.

The original discoverer liked it so well he took it home, placed it in a frame, encapsulated it in fiberglass resin and hung it on his wall.
    For 25 years.

It's got the world of science cranked up a bit, but what would be useful to your club is:
The skeleton is laid out flat.
It is or will be easily recognizable to most.
Seems too that it'll fit right into the primate theme.

And . . . there's always Fay Wray and her big monkey pal on top of the Empire State Building....

Sorry to say this but this looks tooo gay, it screams "HEY COME LOOK AT US WE'RE GAY DANCING MONKEYS"

Might as well paint them pink have your daughter B-dazzle them and put a Richard Simmons head on them:D

Wait a second I kinda like that idea........

Okay enough monkey business, Here's my entry. I tried to give it a classic feel, like it could have been from 50 years ago, and simple so it could be easily translated to a casting. Hope you can dig it...

I really liked the primate on the club shirt. That Barrels O Monkeys guy got my attention though.
