Im not nitpicking as you say, im just asking, the car is awesome and the craftsmanship rocks.

  2. I agree....that is one of the nicest Mercury roof-lines I have ever seen...very beautiful lines with a lot of elegance.

I understand what you are saying, it's a valid question.

If I had to choose between buying two chopped mercs, and one had a "mistake" but a dramatic roof shape and the other was perfect but had a standard looking roof shape. Well, I'd go with the one with the overall exciting shape.

If I were buying a muscle car that does not allow artistic expression, then I would look for the one with the least mistakes. What else is there that distinguishes one from another?

  5. and remember most of this work was done by kids who most of you would not give a chance,
most of you would get offend if they looked at your car, i get customers a who walk in the shop and walk right out just because they see the tats on some of this kids or the way they dress...we all have a talent..just need the chance to show it.

  7. gotcha...sorry, been dealing with nitpickers at work...people that don't want to pay shit but complain when it's not a showcar

Jesse I would like to say kudos to you and the guys working in your shop you are doing a great job.

I would love to hang out in a shop like yours and learn heaps but unfortunately I don't have the access to, we have a few good shops like yours in Australia but not where I can get at all the time, so it is great that you can take some time out of your busy life to post great threads with pics and info like this one.

I am currently building a 52 Hudson and love the look of the one your are doing, do you have an update on wherer you are at with the build.

    Cheers,
    Adam

The idiots that walk out aren't letting the quality of your guys' work speak for itself, they're letting their stereotypes cloud their judgement. Too bad for them.

I get the "looks" too, and I work retail.

  15. 5 coats of black base, with 6 coats of clear... blue pearl mixed in the black base to give it that deep blue effect,. kinda hard to see it in the pics..
