That's great to see rolling, you must be thrilled. The rear shot looks stunning especially with those tail lights and pipes.

Of course Fraud Hall looks as inviting as ever :D

You're a fraud......didn't see any other pictures of it @ Paso-Maria, people are obviously clueless to the trickery involved!(I guess that makes it successful, huh?)

I was thinking the same...People apparently are not used to this type of finesse

    It looks fantastic Tony.

I would have never had the guts to use those wheels - but they are spot on. That really is a very fine looking car - great choices and execution.

As great as this car looks on here, I've got a funny feeling these pictures don't do it justice. I wish I could see it in person!

Well, it's not a flashy car, but the people who looked at it carefully seemed to appreciate it. DRD57's coverage does include several shots of it.

Thanks for the many kind words, guys.

  9. YES! I was thinking the same. Truly is a thing of beauty :)

  10. Each photo shows more subtle details that keep bringing me back for another look. Great interior as well. This one should keep you intertained for a bit. Nice work as always.

Very nice, not sure how I feel about the wheels though. I do dig the skinny whites though. The wheels aren't bad, I just think there is a wire wheel that would really complete it.

I like the wheels! its nice to see someone dare to be different. as a matter of fact I may go with them on my 56 parklane.

Ditto on the wheels...since the interior is from a Tbird, why not go with Tbird wires? (64-66 are 15")

  15. 3 reasons that I can think of if I were him:

    $, $, and $

The car looks amazing, by the way!

T-Bird wires would probably look fine, but they would look like a lot of other '50s & '60s Fords that have used them before, like this:

It's more interesting to me to get a unique look from something that hasn't been used much on customs, and that I could buy inexpensively.

It'll be months before I have finished detailing them the way I have in mind. I'll post them again when I'm done.

Damn! That really looks good ... great choice on the color. Now if you just had some of those Merc wagon taillights... hehehehehehe

  18. That is one pretty '55 Ford. I like that '56 wagon too. At Turkey Rod Run '08 there was a 55 or 56 Mercury Montclair that a guy had taken the entire top of the car off and put the top off of a Crown Victoria on. Now that was cool as hell right there ...

  19. I covet your interior.

For you Diehards who have disapproved of the wheels and tires on my 56, I thought that you might like to see "Plan B". I still intend to refinish the alloy wheels and detail the knockoffs, but this is the alternate look that I had mentioned long ago.

I don't prefer these over the original shoes, although the brighter whitewalls and the red-orange wheel details are a pleasant change. But it sure as Hell is a different looking car!

Yeah, this is how it'll go to Austin -- it'll probably be months before the other stuff is all done. And, yeah, I'm getting pretty jazzed about the trip to TX!

No, not at all -- I needed an alternate set while the alloy wheels are off the car, and I have wanted an excuse to use those Lincoln hub caps.
