    If not, there's always Rolaids!

But, seriously, nice photos from a fun day...thanks for that and for reminding us what real fun is all about while honoring the day:)

Very nice! Small town folk still get what America is all about! Anyone out there who hasn't had home-made ice cream, especially if you hand cranked it, hasn't lived! It's Heaven on Earth!

See now there you went an done it, exercising your 1ST Amendment right of freedom of assembly, then you go and violate local ordinances, and parade around town without a Permit. Good thing the local costable was enjoying his holiday, hope he don't get wind of it, and start harrasing the participants. Hopefully he local fee collector don't come looking for his retroacitve payment, You coulda denied it if you hadn't posted the pics all over the damn net......

looks like and All American good time was had by all. Can almost taste the roast pork all the way up here in the northeast.

Well done and HIP HIP Hooray on all of you.

you said private parade and i think that it was kind of eerie in a good way to not see anyone looking at your parade...maybe just the ghosts of our vets were watching!! great thing you did!

Looks like everybody had a great day. The private parade idea was great. Nice to see "Small town America" is alive and well in your area.

Thank you but I am not the mayor and I'm not cool. But I WAS the Grand Marshall of my own parade. We sure had a good weekend. The simple life is the good life.

Probably not something we should be advertising but... well... we don't really have a Cop shop, I think we had one officer when I was a kid, but that was 20 years ago that I have those memories, and I don't remember if he worked for the city or was just assigned our area of the county by the Sheriff's office haha.

We used to have our own part time city deputy but he got fired. Now we have county sheriff deputies who sit in town and write speeding tickets. Probably a good gig compared to violence in FL. The problem is......we have no beach or surf! If you can get past that, then come on up here.

You can't really see from this pic but, we had his little hot rod painted and stickered up, including his name on the back. I've been thinking of fixing up a radio flyer type wagon for him, but his mom (my lil sis) would prefer him to be a pro golfer over a F1 driver...as his uncle I respectfully beg to differ. May have to ask forgiveness instead of permission on this one.
