Yeah your probably right.I like the stock grill with out the park lights. The problem is they are stainless, so filling the holes and smoothing out the welds will next to imposable.I've been thinking about a floating tube grill 3in. center tube with a 1in. tube above and below with expanded metal behind.

Try blue rims with trim rings or just the black witht the narrow trim rings.

  9. Thanks, could you do a gold body as well? Looks nice, thanks for the effort.

No problem! Gold with white top.
And the black/dark gray with silver you ask for previously.

  11. OK, i razor bladed the whole car today got rid of all the patina-ed Barton grey, now its a nasty chocolate brown. i would like to have it photoshopped in a Chrysler electric green (its the pic of the dash) on the bottom and the top in Roth's bong water green (close to the bottom color on this fine Chevy) . i tried to get a shot of the car with a solid color back ground, if this wont work let me know and i will take a shot somewhere else. thanks a lot in advance. whit

Man, I'm glad I joined this group. There are some real creative people here. This is my first pic post so I hope I do it right. Not exactly the type of car I would expect to see here, but its kinda cool. I got a thing for 2 door wagons or 2 door cars that were never available as 2 doors. I use GIMP, similar to Photoshop, only free. I have one question though.... how the hell are you guys doing that metalflake paint? The other thing I notice is that unlike real steel, there is no limitation on graphics, and......... just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I've talked to a couple of people that work at chrome shops, they say you would need to copper plate the stainless to help fill the welds so they can be ground and polished smooth.

  14. What's with the blinking car?? Very annoying... Or is it just me?

I did the same as You and went with Gimp2 as far as how I get the metalflake, once I have OK'D the paint color I go into the filters then choose noise then out from noise select RGB noise then you should get a preview screen from there adjust to the look You desire.Hope this helps You.

  23. thanks, you do good stuff. but im really not diggin the colors. but thats what this is all about, to give folks an idea of what they can expect from the colors they choose. i have the flake to do the top in bongwater green or sublime green. and i want the bottom green as well but my choice of bottom color aint to good. can some one give me some ideas on some greens for the bottom. here are the two top flakes the dark one on the left being bong and the other sublime. thanks.

Hey BigDfrom303, get a copy of Gimp2, it free,
    http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html
It will do layers and a lot of other features, and if you look there are tutorials on a bunch of different features. You'll like this much better than mspaint. Be prepared to spend sometime learning it. This is soooooo much better than just cut and paste.

Here's my try with the bong water green top and a shade lighter than the Chrysler green. I tried a darker green, but when it's too much like the top it don't look good either.
