thanks muncie. I love em(falcons), easy to work on, fun to drive, still kinda cheap. They look good all different styles. This is a cool thread.

  5. Thanks Dave. Despite my user name, I've never owned a Comet, nor really thought about it (other than the novelty and my nickname) until now. So I don't know anything about these.

I love mine so far. I'd recommend one to anybody. They're just the right size, and they're dead simple, plus because of the similarity to early Mustangs, there’s halfway decent parts availability both for resto and hop up.

now that is one of more original bag set ups. we did bags on a buddies 64 fairlane wagon and it sits down on the exhaust. do you have a picture with the rim and tire off to see how you attached to the susp. And why the double ladder effect on the arm (for stiffing?). looks like I see a shock behind the airbag?

    where is your exhaust?

  13. Your Comet is fantastic. The engine is great and the bag system is a work of art..Are ya gonna brace the towers?

yes we are going to brace the towers but just from tower to tower , the double brace is a metering rod that keeps the bags straight as it go's up and down, and its attached to the bottom arm with a single rod with heim joints top and bottom , thanks for the complments , also there is a shock atached to the arm between the bag and pivot

That is a badass airbag setup, I wouldn't mind seeing some more shots of how you put it all together.

Wow! your 62 makes my 63 look lifted. If thats the stock suspension, did you have to notch the frame above the bottom control arm? And do your ball joints bind pretty bad when it's aired out? I really like the astros on there, makes me want to do a 5 lug swap.

I love Aussie Falcons. They remind me of old advertising art when they would create a “typical” American car - they look mostly like a U.S. Falcon, but with just enough differences to make you go “What is that??”
