Maybe you clean the treads by doing burnouts on concrete. That might be cool.

...if those burnouts smell like bacon, even better...

Would the tire smoke be white or black? Black tires make white smoke.............

So, how would they look dirty? With the tread all nasty? Might be hell to clean.

Are you going to have these at the Rose City Round-Up or Billetproof? Looking forward to seeing them in real life.

once you drive on them it will be a dark tread (from dirt and grime) and a very large white sidewall....

I remember seeing an article in Hot Rod Magazine telling about how colored tires were going to be the next big thing. That was in, I believe, '71.

    I like them.
I think I'd like them more with a little wear and tear on them.
They make the car look like a Lil' gangsta wearing brand new nikeys.

Seriously, I'd like to see solid colors. Maybe go the route
of vintage bicycles, brick red tires and cream colored tires.

I reckon they would have real potential if they were skinnier. I've always loved the shots of very early cars with their natural rubber tyres (they might not be white but they sure look pale) - check out the Ken Burns documentary about the first crossing of America in a car called "Horatios Drive". I'm sure that there could be an amazing interpretation of an very old style race car, like the submarine cars, Dan Webb's is a perfect example. Maybe the whole tyre could be made in white too! Here's a SUPER quick Photoshop job. I think the applications for a white tyre are limited, but with the amazingly creative minds out there I'm sure it could be done really well.

Like that, no. If they were ALL white and on the right car, maybe.

On second thought I bet they would look real good on a white car.

In the '90s several of the companies treid to market colored tires to the sport truck crowd, it was supposed to be the newest big trend. It didn't fly apart from some trailered trucks. Somthing to do with the colored tires didn't hold up well and they were a bitch to keep clean. Well that and it was just lame.

I do recall seeing white tires on some very old concept cars, or at least pics of them. I think for the resto crowd they might be cool. but nface it aside from a few of the new guys we're hot rodders and this is a hot rod site.

Maybe a good place to sell them would be the Hemmings site?

I'm not down on them just not down with the,m if you catch my drift.

They remind me of a white maggot or something that crawled out from underneath a rock, never having seen the light of day.

i understood that the reason tires are black is because of the carbon used in their construction.....colour tires because they use different compounds instead of the carbon cannot hold up to much abuse and lose out on their strength.....but what do i know

Early brass era cars look fantastic with all white tires. Really sets them off. I think these have potential too.
