To all you East Coast hot rod and custom guys:I am thinking about having a traditional Rod and Custom car show here in New Jersey. It will be held on Memorial Day weekend of 2010. I want to do this because the Road Agents Rumble is no more. I would appreciate some feedback on who would attend. Thanks, Joe
If you did a show that was half as much fun and half as pure *traditional* as the Road Agents' Hot Rod & Rockabilly Rumble, I'd be there in a heartbeat.........the *RUMBLE* is a hard act to follow.....keep the rat rods out.......have really tough criteria to even be allowed onto the show grounds......keep it as strict as Luke, Matt and the rest of the Agents did and you'll have a success! CB
Sounds good, also check out Motor Speedway, Mel and gang are doing it right!...Anything is better than Lead East!
The thing that made The Road Agents meet so great was the cutoff date and the at the gate your car is IN or park it outside inspection rule! Never heard any *****ing about cars that were not admitted, but the ones that made it were really traditional (ok some R.R.). Follow thise guide lines and promote the flea market and you should have a winner. Not really sold on the Memorial Day weekend, but good luck on the event planning.
Here is the game plan fellas,I am going to talk to the Hotel mgmt and surrounding businesses next week.I am going to mention what it is I want to do.Hopefully they will agree. Now,I'm no Terry Cook,so this will be kind of a low budget show for the 1st one.If it grows, than, there will be more. There will be music,a pin-up girl contest, and vendors,I hope. No dash plaques.Well, maybe magnetic ones?.There will only be 3 awards given out.Best Rod,Best Kustom, and Best Pin-up. Would that be ok with you guys? As far as music goes,I am going to try to get the Golden Gup,Wolfman Jerry, and the Razorbacks. Will see how that goes. So p*** the word to all of your friends.I will keep all of you informed. Thanks for the support, Joe
We are working on a preliminary flyer right now.We will be talking to the head dude at the the hotel tomorrow.
