I wish my '33 had been anywhere near that good...or complete when I found it. Congratulations, you've got a great start there! Bill

Congrats on the find and that is a very solid looking body in the pics. Is it as solid as it looks in the pics ? what does the floor look like all cleaned up.

Stop telling people about the old tin laying around Wyoming please, at least not till after I can get back down there and secure some things for myself.

  6. ATTENTION...

This was the last useable car in the State of Wyoming. Please concentrate your search efforts else where.

    Thanks,
    Governor Dave Freudenthal

  10. Its pretty solid, a little rot where the leaves layed in there so long, nothing serious. I got it cleaned up and got the rear fenders off. I will post some more pictures when I get it rolling.

Dropped '34 axle, stock unsplit wishbone,'40 front spindles and brakes. In the back I swapped the '34 brakes and hubs for some later hyd. brakes and hubs. My plan is to run a 292 Ford with a top loader three speed, mated to the stock rearend. Anyway, this is a start.

  13. Unreal how clean that is. Is that really common in your part of the country ? Here in New England 10 year old trucks break in half from rust...

  14. Yes, we're in the high desert so it's real dry.

  16. Wow, that thing is in great shape. Dig your plans for it too. And a 61 Mercury. Man, that's a seriously cool driveway.

The first thing i've been told to look for is if it has cowl light, also to look for the ciger lighter althou I'm not 100% sure on that yet. I have seen the roll down rear window in all coupes, rumble seat or trunk.[IMG]

  25. Oh, I see. Yeah, mine did not have cowl lights, or a cig lighter. I'm good with it just being a standard. Thanks.

  28. Awesome progress Burns. I'm not sure what all that white shit is on the ground though.

I want to see you drive that pile out for the "Swindlers Clam Dig"(tm) this summer.

  30. That white shit is called "Hippie Repellant"(TM). Probably not for the "Clam Dig"(TM), but for sure for the poker run. I'm not missin' that another year.
