I had a customer that REALLY wanted the truck, (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=360257&page=4)

So... it's gone to St. Louis. I've been wanting a '41-'48 Ford Tudor. Theres alot of these cars out there, but I wanted an all original, unmolested V8 car. Here's what I bought.

What do you guys think? Totally original V8 car, whats left of original paint, and all the chrome is there. It's been put up for alot of years. Everything is still there. Two quarter sized rust holes, one in the floor board, one in the front valance. Thats it! It's even got a new set of Coker White's on it.

    Last registration was 1962.

I dig it! I always prefer to start with an unmolested car...nothing like being the first person to bring the real soul outta a car!

Your car is why I wanted this car. I saw a picture of it at a show... That did it for me. Great car.

those have always been one of my favorites too. i remember being about 16yrs old and seeing one that in the rodders journal. if i remember right it was black and had a sombrero blanket style interior....maybe some flames too. it just looked right...and that was before flat black took over "hot rods".

    what are the plans?

Sitting something like these... I want to get the Flatty running good and the chassis stuff sorted out. Interior will be simple and basic, just stock. Outside of that, just drive the***** out of it!

I'm gonna need a dropped axle if anybody has one for sale....

What did the 16X5 rear wheels come on? I'm sure mine are 16X4.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

I wish it was an Ooltewah car... I would love to find one like this around here, but this one is coming out of the wonderful DRY mid-west. I do racecar decals for some mid-west guys and they are always on the lookout for old cars for me. Got lucky on this one. We do race cars here and they have rust free cars there. Very good trade off in my opinion.

That's the car I was speakin of. We really gotta talk to Josh about re-ringing the motor. It seems to smoke a bit.

Josh's ride almost ended up in my garage, I let him out of the deal at the last minute, I knew he regretted offering it to me, he had brain damage for a day or two.. but if he ever sells it I hope to have first chance at it...

Thanx, the bigger back tires take an exercise in pateince to get them on and off.
I dont know why Ford even bothered to put a back window in these cars you can't see a damn thing outta of it:confused:
