    That car definately rules.

I took some photos of it at the CHRR a year or two ago. It really struck me as a nicely done car.

Another A roadster of similar quality and beauty would be the AMOCAT A. I think you're familiar with it?

Great shots kirk! I have never been a fan of orange, but there is always an exception to the rule, and this one is it for me.

What a Rad thread!!! Love the Lambrose/Iacono 99 Jr Roadster since I first laid eyes on it. I need to get my hands on a GMC 302 for sure. This car has such a cool history and was the real deal when it came to racing. Glad to see some more light being brought to the car and the owners/drivers.

One of the most amazing things about this car is the absolute joy and p***ion that went into restoring it. Neil O'Kane has such a p***ion for the whole hot rod/racing world it's hard to describe into words. When you are around him you can not help but to feel the love he has for this "hobby". It's truly amazing!
We have been great friends with and "pit crew" for Neil with his JR fuel dragster for many years and it's truly been inspiring to watch him in all he does! I also had the honor of working on the ch***is in my shop and it was definitely one of the coolest projects we've ever done.
I've attached a picture of Iacono in the Roadster at the CHRR as well as a few of my other favorites!

I was just reading about this car in the Rodders Journal. Does anyone have a shot of the tow rig Orange 50ish Chevy AD truck? It is in the RJ article but it's two pages so there is a big wrinkle in the middle.

    Sweet ride for sure.

Anybody have any information about the steering box? The pitman arm is pointing straight up, did they reverse the steering box? I've read the Rodder's Journal artical but there is no information on the steering box.

I believe it was a '35-'40 Ford turned on its side. Idea was to keep the drag link parallel with the ground, minimizing bump steer. (GMC was very 'torquey', lifted left front on accel., turning car to left. This was a means to dampen the problem.

Here are some photos of Ike and Dale seeing the roadster for the first time since it was restored. Dale made it to CHRR in 2007 (debut of Roadster and its first Cacklefest), followed by Ike in 2008 (who received an award at the event that year from NHRA). Both got to sit in it and start it up.

This is what hot rodding and racing is all about kids. And I am blessed to have learned, and continue to learn from the best.

he uses a photobucket account, and must clear it out pretty regularly, I have found that if he posts a photo that I like(and there are a bunch of those) it is best to save it right away.

Kirk, can we please see these pictures from the first page again? I know someone who wants to build a tribute car, and he needs them for reference.
