Yeah this is real patina... Not something made in a body shop. It will stay just like this, for a LONG time. Not many pre-'50 Fords still have the original paint. I'll be leaving it alone. Paint wise anyway.

Dropped axle is on the way. 7.50X16 Wide Whitey Cokers for the rear.

    Can't wait.

Damn nice find Kevin. Those '41-'48 Fords have always been a favorite for me. Yours looks very solid, and the choice to leave it alone with a drop and stop plan sounds good. Keep posting pictures of it.

Mine will have a flathead until it is not money happy. Then its SBC boys... The easy way. I know SBC engines came along way later, but we can build 6 SBC engines for what one Flatty costs.

Yeah the "rougeoutlaw" is one of us. He's the brother of my brother inlaw... I know that sounds stupid, but he's in. '55 Packard Clipper gets him in.

I'll keep you posted on the progress, but I've gotta get it here first. Should be in here next week sometime. It's in St. Louis waiting on one of our trucks to come thru there. Got a Sid's dropped axle and some Hot Rod engine parts on the way. Can't wait to get started on this one. Maybe it won't take much to get it going.

Damn that looks like a killer start. How do you guys find these rust free cars? Glad to see you are going to leave the flathead in there. Most people just yank them out and put in a SBC. Good find!

I like the scarred ones too. Stop and Steer... Thats my game plan. Maybe some cool stuff under the hood too.

Whats the factory color on this one? Let me know Ford guys?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Thats some great art work. You should draw Ooltewah's car, but make the paint look like it does in his pictures. That would be cool.
