Great car, just like my high school car! Resist the urge to f with it. Do a little rust repair if you can but keep it a chep driver. Is it a 6? stick?

I love it as is. Wheels look period 60's and I think look great. That is one beautiful comet. Whatever you do ..just accentuate what you have very subtly. Why anyone would want to paint a beautiful white paint job for a flat color is beyond me.
    cool car.

Nice car man. But that's not a 3" drop all around since it dropped twice as much in back as in front. Looks more like 3"/5" or maybe even 3"/6". Have fun with it!

    I give it a 8.5 to a 9er. I like it!

A five lug conversion and a disc brake update at the same time maybe. If you loose the economy car looking 4-lug 4-spoke Cragars and use 5 lug wheels (Cragars if you like but not my first choice) it would elevate the appearance to more than an early 60's economy-sized ragtop.

I like the 60's tube grille suggestion.

The paint on it adds a SHIT LOAD of character that no re-paint, scallopes, flames, or any thing could ever replace...ever. Adding paint details to make it look better, I can't see it helping it look better than it does now.

    JMHO, my 2 cents.

I love it, very nice. If anyone talks you into loosing the Cragars and white walls just send them my way since they would also look good on my falcon!

Everything between where it's at today, and a full blown paint job falls under the category "trying too hard" Good luck!

Fix the rust between the 1/4 panels and rockers and the bottoms of the doors with new metal before it gets worse, then paint it one of the newer car off-White pearls, base coat/clear coat and drive it!
The right pearl will show off the natural body contours making scollops or any other graphics unnecessary.
A White-White paint will make the top look forever dingy, so don't go there.

  18. That's a great looking car the way it is. Must be pretty rare.
I agree with accenting the body sculpting or cove on the side at most.
a subtle fade out paint job and/or some really restrained accent pinstripes.
    Less is more.

I would adjust the front bumper so it is not tilted up in the back.

let's see... shave all side mldings, handles, mirrors, name plates, everything but the qtr panel spears, and then put a nice paint job on it with some pinstripes. hey, you asked!
