the roadster at the car show... where did you find it. that car is the one my father johnny boyde and don pointer bought from these guys and ran it in 1962 they went to bakersfield and stopped in arizona tinkers brother johnny set the record that he still has tinker drove the car at bakersfield was #1 in his class and got out ran in the final by stone wood cooks car .

the car is red with boyde pointer & faulkner with eagle cam stick under that, there is a parchute on top of the roll cage. i have 8mm flim from jl payne coll. but no pict.
this is the same car that wayne calvert ran in the 50s.

here is mine in drag race trim. May at the local track.

 

Little blue car to the left i first saw at Half Moon Bay in '57 or '58. I have a '58 program with a picture of the car in it. Not much of a Drag roadster now, but it's still running after 50 some years.

Is this the Lyndwood altered that still exists? Featured in the spring 1964 issue of HOT CARS, owned by Dave Oberhofer at that time.
