thanks...unfortunately, i've realized that i won't be making my deadline. i'm petty disappointed in myself, but i'm still working at it.
going to be gone for a little over a week to get my Studebaker...i know, seems like a bad time now, but seemed good a couple months ago. didn't know where i was going to be then.
anyway...tonite, just worked on the MC mount to brace it better to the frame.

and figured out more linkage for the pedals ...

more work friday, saturday and sunday.

  10. Forget the deadline, don't even worry about it. I think you should write a book about your build. Serious!! Talk about hands on-do it yourself. Real hot rodding at it's finest.

  12. Yeah, deadlines are for suckers :D
In the end you'll still have a bitchin rod that you put together with your own hands, in lightning speed compared to most guys on here!

Hi Lauren: Great progress on the rpu.
I saw this pic, though, and I'm pretty sure the big end of the cylinder is supposed to go towards the front shoe. It's a pain as the brake lines have to angle in from the rear, rather than the front which is more handy.

You need to switch the cylinders side to side.

    Keep up the good work.

Had one of mine apart the other day for the first time in 100 years judging by how hard the hub was to pull & here's a pic - good call Mart - not many would have spotted that.

hmmm....have to check on that when i get back.

Still in Michigan...leaving tomaro with Betty ('55 Studebaker)
fixed some things on her like points, spark plugs, rotor & disp. cap, etc.
the starter seems like it might be shot, but she looks sexy as hell with her new WW and hubcaps in place. so nice.
we're able to jump start it since it's a clutch, but we'll see how the adventure goes...more to follow and once done with the RPU, new thread with the Stude...
