I will be running the same tire size front and rear. The wheels are 16 x 5 and the tech thread will be on exactly that - using hubcap adapters and wire wheel hubcaps and how to mount them on non Ford wheels. Plenty of pictures will be posted, but at the moment the hubcap adapters are at the powder coater, the wheels are with the pin striper and the Diamond Back Series 3 tires are with UPS somewhere between SC and CA.

I'll measure the Plymouth artillery wheel and see if the wire hubcap adapters will work. There are at least two sizes of wire hubcap adapters, so I am hopeful.

Here is the tire in question, image borrowed from the Diamond Back website - mine will have wider whitewall and the 1/4" white beauty ring. They are also available as a blackwall smoothie. Bigger sizes are available all the way up to a 225/75R16 which is 29.6" tall - almost 2 inches taller than the 195/75R16s (27.7" tall).

They look very good! Very "bias" looking. What brand tire are they using?

I was going to tack weld my adapters onto the wheel from the inside and then powdercoat the whole thing but I will wait to see how you do it.

I'm going to the LA Roadster Show, maybe Diamondback will have a booth there but I doubt it.

Why don't you just use Port O Walls and be done with it?

    :p

I have a set of Firestone Indy 500 series tires with widewhites that came from DB on my Studebaker, with 60,000 miles on them with NO problems at all.

Hey, it's Courts lucky day. I've got six old Cokers sitting around here now. I'll get 4 of them to Scott's place for Court's truck. Just promise me he won't take them on a long trip or anything like that. There's not too much life left on them but enough to get him around town and stuff for awhile.

Yes, he's a pal-o-mine and he is kidding.

Funny how I win something , and have a letter also that announces it and MY integrity is in question ..?

They know I won, they never questioned that fact ..But getting them to ok me to purchase tires with the $300 off the set is a different issue

Maybe someone should point them to this thread. They may suddenly have a change of heart. It would be nice if they honored it!

they are basically located in my back yard. Great customer service and a first cl*** operation. I used them for my wheel setup.
