It's not mine and I didn't find it, but it's still pretty cool. It is very low and even has a hemi! Looks like a late 50's build to me.
WTF! Why in Gods name did we have so much trouble finding tin in NZ back in the '70's and '80's when all we had to do was find this guy! I can't tell you how many "tin hunts" we went on back then. Did manage to bring home three A's - '28, '29 and '30 Tudors and a '34 five window though. Just think how much gas and beer money I could have saved...
Finally found a 32 Ford! Not quite what I was hoping for though. Founds this in a pile of old stock cars. Some other stuff as well
Sadly all the stuff I posted pictures of in the second post on the first page are now gone. Metal prices climbed and the were haulled away and the area bulldozed clean. I don't know if the owner passed away and his kids sold it or not.
The coupe in the snow picture sums up my passion for vintage tin. Kinda wierd but I have a reoccuring dream of a coupe in snow out there somewhere just waiting for me! Thanks so much for posting!!!
Where as I don't dispute the validity of your first statement.LOL Some things are beyond salvage. I also like to take pictures and see pictures of old abandoned houses and barns. I still wish I could find a picture of the car that was posted in a previous(what is this?) thread.
Just found this today just outside Waynesboro, VA.,(300 miles from home). I parked to use the phone when I spotted it. The best I could do with my verizon zoom. I cant ID it. Looks like a very early T from the cowl but those doors are tall. I think thats a Nash door laying horizontal between the cowl and tall door on the right. Looked like a mini barn find but I needed to git home.
Ive got tons of pics of this place. Rumor has it the old guy who owned the place used to tow cars left on the freeway near there. Did you get a chance to talk to current owners? WOW! What a bunch of wackos. They sold them all to some guy near by but not before a buddy got the starliner and a couple others. Gotta find those pics now....
There's a 54 New yorker across the street from my moms old farm, abandoned. Don't have any pics tho. I'm gonna steal it one day!
Any of it for sale, ya know? I live in sac and am dying a dreadful death being without a good project..
During the Memorial Day weekend, I drove my family out to northern Arizona to do some sightseeing. I found these during the trip.
I love this one - from rustbucket to headturner....more like this please (or is there already a thread?)
Ok, I'll play.... 34 Ford RPU that I've had a bead on for well over a year. Been trying to work something out, but it's always 2 steps forward, 1 step back. I leave NJ in a little over 2 months to move back to CA...GOTTA get it by then!
Here is my album with 9 pages of pics. http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii312/Graham_A_M/CarsandTrucks/ All of them are for sale in Southern Sask. Let me know if anybody wants to save any of them, and Ill do my best to connect you to the proper owner. These are about one quarter of all the cars & trucks out there, these were all shot in one weekend, as I just ran out of time.
Kind of what I was thinking. The title is Abandoned Rods, not junk anything! I guess reading comprehension is optional.-MIKE
