This car was hit a ton. It will be sold as non repairable . The value was listed as over 40000.00

I dont feel bad at all. The owners had the chance to buy them back.

Most of them were probably stated value and they walked away fatter than they started.

Plus any one of us can buy any of them.

  24. Unless things have changed, you must be a member of Copart to buy. And to be a member, you must have a business. Also you pay to be a member.
Some cars are sold to dealers or dismantlers only.

Not worth it in my opinion to join just to buy one car.

If these are not Copart cars then then I'm wrong.

If you buy anything from Copart, don't forget to bring cash for the buyer's premium, the internet fee, the loading charges, etc. These guys are FkN ruthless with the extra fees on the cars.

BTW- the last few rods & muscle cars that I looked over before the sale were TOTAL pieces of shit. Nothing left to rebuild. Also any good bits you see in the photos, probably have already been stolen by their yard rats before the sale.

  28. Couple pics of my 56 hard top that was hit when I was in California. Guy ran a stop light and hit in the front drivers side. Pushed us into a concrete light pole that stopped when the pole hit the frame. Driver ran and reported the car stolen.

Sad they got crunched, fer sur. At least they were stouter steel and chassis than many later cars. So, I hope nobody got seriously hurt. Nearly 20 years ago, a friend here in Columbus was headed out to Indy for a show in his 35 Chevy two-door when something, reportedly, broke up front, and he got killed. (I always suspected somebody cut in close and caused him to run off the highway.) Sometimes rodders band together to help a guy build another car, but they can't get you back your life. There are a ton of shitty drivers out there who don't seem to care about the rights or lives of others, much less their machinery! -- Jimi'shemi291
