Just wondering how many of you are close to Tyler? I just moved here from Dayton, OH........haven't met anyone that wrenches on anything cool. Kinda bummed about it. I always thought Texas was over run by rodders.
Thanks guys! One thing I can say is people are a hell of a lot nicer in these parts, haha. I have been to Canton a few times to pick up some cars for jobs (I do custom upholstery), I love it out here! Except for the not knowing anyone part. That sucks, haha.
20 miles west of Tyler in Brownsboro. There's going to be a small cruise in Edom (20 min. from Tyler) Saturday at 6-ish...mostly non-HAMB friendly cars, but I'll be there in my '50 Plymouth. Welcome to God's country
GWHITE, where exactly is it at. I'll roll my bike out there...haven't really ridden it since my ass got here. Thanks for the invite.
Hey, I'm in your back yard. South Tyler around where Paluxy and Copeland (soon to be Grande) meet! Where are you located in Tyler? How long have you been here? Whataburger on South Broadway does a cruise night every second Thursday evening starting at about 5:00 and going until maybe 9:00 or so. Pre 1963 cars only except for vettes because the local Corvette Club was the ones that got it started. I have never actually been to the Edom cruise night but I hear it is a decent one also. There are also other cruises/parking lot shows that you can learn about while at the Whataburger one. They usually pass out fliers there for other stuff. Go check out Miller's Classic Cars South of town on Highway 69 about 12 miles south of Loop 323. He usually has some nice cars out there to look at.
Man, there are a lot more of you than I thought. That is awesome! Drop me a line whenever you guys hear of any shows or swapmeets, I am always game for that. There is a car/bike show in Tyler on Broadway (69) right by the Wal-Mart this Saturday if anyone is interested. Don't know how big it will be....but it is something to do.
Awe, it's Saturday? I'll probably miss it then. Unless I get back from the A.S.S. get together earlier than I was planning tomorow.
My bad...that show is Sunday....Fathers Day. Which means I can definitely go. Wives and kids have to do what YOU want to do on Fathers Day, hahaha.
Cool! I'm back in! Yep, the one day a year that Dad gets what he wants... well at least that is what they let us believe anyway.
Live in Tyler. There is a good show today. Take 110 N. couple miles, left on 46. Down 3.5 miles on the left. I would like to see that bike. Ride Harleys too.
