I'm in this thread late but here is my 250 Chevy with Langdon's split cast headers, Offenhauser intake and 390 Holly 4bbl.

It is destined for my 1971 Nova coupe. It will be backed by a Saginaw 3.11:1 1st gear 4-spd and 3.08:1 rear.

I still need to paint the engine block and head black, which will happen in a couple weeks.

Are the motor mount locations the same on a chevy 194 and a 250? Are there any differences to watch out for in a swap?

Anyone interested in building a Chev 250/ 292 should have Leo Santucci's book, and should check out the Inliners International club and website.
I'm building a '40 Chev coupe with a 292 and Muncie M20. It's still under construction (for far too long...) so it's unpainted and kinda crusty looking, but here's a pic of the serpentine drive belt arrangement I put together for it. Clifford, Holley, Hooker parts, will find more motor pics later.

I have a 230 I6 from a '69 Camaro backed up by a B/W T-5 from a Chevy S-10. It is sitting in the frame now, only a few more things to do, like a couple of years! :D Perley

Just snagged this and the tranny for $100 today. Supposed to run good, turns freely. I plan on putting it in my 40 Chevy pickup.
