I was looking around for any decals from a shop in Chicago. The shop is called Robin Hood Mufflers. This shop did some work on my G***er back in the 70's. Anyone know if there ever were any decals and if so where to find them. Thanks

I ride past that place from time to time. I believe it would be in Cicero, not Chicago. Could be a different plance but there is a Robin Hood Mufflers on Ogden in Cicero and looks like its been there for ever. Still in business, you might be able to contact them directly for the stickers.

  6. Hey I recognized that place, I'm glad you all revealed its location as it may of driven me nutz trying to remember.
While on the subject, can anyone recomend a mufflerplace on the south side for me? I want to fix my caddy's exhaust and may need some pipes in front.

Seema like there is, (or was), one in Rockford Ill. About a block south of the corner of Kishwaukee and Broadway, on the west side of Kishwaukee. I used to go through that area to go to Performance Products. That's been years ago, so it might be closed up by now.:confused::confused:

John that owned it p***ed away about 2-3 years back. That ****s because he done all my work for me. John was a hot rodder to the bone he had a mild custom 53 chevy. My good buddy ended up with the car.

Sure, I remember John, and his 53. Years ago I used to see him at many of the car shows in the area. Sorry to hear that he has p***ed. He was a heck of a good guy, and his 53 was a very sharp car. It's good to know that the car is in good hands.

There is a used car dealer in the old Kishwaukee st store. Hell there's a used car dealer in most auto related buildings in S.E. Rockford.
Performance Products was the first place I saw a Dyno live and running.

Still on the lookout for a pair. Anyone have a pic of what one looks like? I called the shop they said that they don't have and decals or anything. If I can get a pic of what one looked like I'll have some made or a sign painter, paint it on the car.

The first time I walked into Performance Products, (about 1988, when Bob was still alive), there was a hot rodded 394 Olds engine on an engine stand.:cool::cool: I saw that and thought, Yeah, This is the place for me. I had a few engines built there, including my 348. Do you know where those guys ended up after the place closed? They did very good work and always treated me right.
