I am a commercial paint contractor by trade.Just has i was finishing some radiator work this morning on my 39 i got a call and found myself getting my *** chewed out by a project manager for one of my largest Contractors. It seems i was only a couple hours late for our pre-set 10 am weekly minutes meeting at the job site.I am not proud of myself by no means ,just wondering if this absent minded **** ever gets anybody else

I wish it would interfere. I wish I worked at a shop. I'm a teacher. However, I love every minute of it and wouldn't trade it for the sweetest rod.

Hell, I'm a fireman. I've been riding to a call in the engine and still talking with the Summit sales person on the phone to get the order finalized before I hang up.

Absolutely, my day job interferes with my rod building and my rod building interferes with my HAMB time. Many times I have been at my day job and cut out to to my rod shop to tweak something. Thank god I am the boss at my day job or I would be fired. I cruise the HAMB late after wrenching on a rod for a few hours.

The hours that I work interfere with just about everything for me. 0430 to 1230 Most days and my long day is on Saturday so no hitting the local Saturday car stuff for me.

Poking around the HAMB when I am at work and not spending enough time doing some long online training programs probably is my biggest hotrod/work related problem.

My program manager came in one day and I was on the HAMB. Then WE were on the HAMB for about 3 hours. Then he came to me and asked if I knew anyone in the metal shop who could bend a fan ****ter shield for his race car. I did. I did. I look at the hamb when ever I'm not on a forklift and he hides with me about 2 hours a week.
    How cool is that?

I'm an inspector on a 42" pipeline going in North east texas. I check the hamb almost hourly. My job does keep me from working on my car because I have to stay out of town and go home about every other weekend. More interested in seeing my family than sanding on the car. There is always later to work on the car.
