In 1961 my Dad took me to the Danbury Modifiers car show, Best in Show was won by the 1917 T Roadster built by Norman Letendre. It was maroon, with a white interior, looked a lot like the Tommy Ivo car. WERE IS IT TODAY? The show was a fund raiser for the Danbury Modifiers, and it allowed them to race the Lyndwood rail I'm restoring. I've had that newspaper cutout since 1961, and just found the photo in a November 1962 issue of Car Craft. Car was good enough to get a full feature, if you have any info on the car lets see it. Thanks!
Guess I could have just given it a BTT. Went to the museum show today, not a single T there!! But there were 3 Pierce Arrows, plus the one inside.
Some day I want to park "Alley Oop" next to it, they haven't been in the same building since 1961. If your brother in law wants a copy of that Danbury News Times photo let me know or just PM me his address. This made may day! Bob
Speaking of Ludlow, what do you know about Red Barn Speed? For years a friend used to always say to me, "We gotta get out there! It's my uncle's place,, you'd love it!" But, you know, as things go, time slips by.
