  8. Thanks for the comments guys. I just like to do things to the best of my ability and I may do something and then say how can I improve that next time. I am doing some more tonight so I will post an update tomorrow.

Meanwhile here are some shots of cars that have inspired this. Please forgive me if the photos are yours, they are mainly just what I have picked up on the net.

Very Nice:) I'm really diggen this build, as i too, am very found of Isky's roadster ( especially the his pipe set up) and also have been inspired on my build even though mine is an RPU:) looks great so far and this will be a build i'd love to follow as well since it's a very cool era and look your going for! The body looks like it's in great condition too, congrat's on that find, those are hard to come by these days.
    cheers,
    cab

Great build, really great. And so very HAMBworthy! What a breath of fresh air after the relentless onslaught of 'can I put this on an S-10 frame?' ****.

Thankyou for following Kiwi Kev's advice!

You thought this wasn't HAMB worthy? This thread should be required reading for FNG's, hell, it's what the HAMB is all about.
    1. Early Traditional build style-Check!
    2. History with great HAMB people involved.-Check!
    3. Tech on how it's built.- Check!
    4. Ryan's approval-Check!:D

......and its getting done down here in Little ol New Zealand !

    Looking great Greg.

  14. I've just acquired a pallet of flat packed '23 T roadster that I was planning something similar with except fully fendered. Reckon I'll be watching you working all the kinks out for me first...

  15. House, sounds cool - looking forward to seeing them come thru to the email soon.

I really like your roadster pick up mate - thats VERY cool!
    Stay in touch

I agree - we have similar things going on down here - for me I like the history and heritage in these cars - like old black & white pics come to life!

Thanks mate - its just excelent and I encourage everyone to post pics of their build - sure keeps the momentum going.

Looking forward to seeing your project mate - sounds like alot of fun - do you want me to build a second ch***is?

  16. Tonights progress wasnt much as I ran out of ARGON for the TIG.

But I got the brackets on the ch***is to mount the body.

These are new brackets I made based on the rusty T ones and again make use of rivets etc

Will have better progress tomorrow night

  17. Remember seeing this post before... surprised I didn't comment.
Great job on fab work and style. Big fan of what your up too... I have a little 1924 project going... A motor at the moment. Looking for a nice little V860, or maybe steal my 21 stud out of my 36 at some point.

I was also lucky enough to grab the Gilmore Special. Here it is in Cali. last week getting it ready for the LA Roadster show... never made it. I have some work to do...

    ForEverFour,

I love the look of this car, has such a nice look and stance! I am so glad to be seeing more and more of these 1930's era "Gowjob" builds. I had so much fun building mine and have a blast every time I take her out and it still makes me laugh that I get more attention at a car show than any of the fancy show rods and you will too! I will be following this thread closely. keep up the great work!

    Here is my '26 Roadster.

haha..that's how my roadster started out..you have to start somewhere..that looks like a hot rod to me..:D although my wife would think I'm nuts

  23. Mr Model T - that is one *****in little roadster! Very cool!
When I get mine going we need to get some shots of these cars and photoshop them all into one pic so it looks like they spent some time together!

  24. Tonights progress:

Finished off the ends of the ch***is where the rear cross member attaches. Again with rivets.

Finished off the welding to the body frame.

Started attaching the body to the frame to get the door swinging. Repairing cracks in the body as I go

Awesome work! I know just how much work it is to build an inner structure like that for a T. No small task and you're doing an unbelievable job of it!

  27. Thanks that would be great. If we round up a few similar cars it would look very cool!

Thanks, tonight I started to put the body panels back on to get the door frame hinged and made. I also went and got a new Model A door latch and striker plate and will adapt that in to

My dirt track tyres and ribbed front tyres arrived today for my 32 so I had to get a shot mocking those up to the T!

  29. THATS REAL COOL!
Who owns it? Are they on here?
I have been wondering what the A front end will look like.
Mine wont be as low - looks like 3 inches difference in height but I wont know until a few days
Thanks for posting the pics! Would love to see more!
