Thanks for the pictures. The car looks great. I have seen it at many functions in the interim but now it is SUPER! He stuck to his story.

WOW! He has been working on this for years, I lost track of the progress, but thought the result would be great, but this exceeds expectations!..(the Nitti roadster is still around, am I right? Think it was restored back to original state, complete with the royal purple paint)

I know Pat always loved the Nitti roadster (as many of us do) and wanted to build a similar car,.... Pat as much as I dig the Nitti roadster,.. I dig the Ganahl Roadster even more !,..... Beautiful Hot Rod !

Now ain't that more fun than a 32 Chevy coupe ?

Absolute perfection! I hope mine turns out half as nice as Ganahl's roadster.

I think it had an early cad in it when he got it, it was an old hotrod.

    Great car.

    Wow, so right.

  16. Pat, the roadster is definitely one of my favorites, and this is the first time I've seen it finished! For a 50's-style ride it really hits the mark but with amazing craftsmanship to boot. I too followed the intermittent updates about it's progress and was truly hoping it would be at LARS - it was one of a handful (including the Baskerville roadster) that I NEEDED to see - I'll hold you to the offer for a ride next time I'm in Socal since I couldn't stop by the Monday after LARS.

Hey all you guys, thanks very, very much for all the positive responses. I really appreciate it. I had no idea my buddy (and club member) Jack was taking pics. Dave Gade got the upholstery done in time to get to the L.A. Roadstrer show, and I worked all week getting the car done. Then the generator blew up on the way to the gas station. So this was the first time out. Been driving it every day since. And hopefully I'll get you more pictures and some info here on the HAMB shortly. Thankyou very much. As you can tell, I appreciate your words.

Amazing, it reinforces that its truly the details that set the great apart from the good.

Beautiful car...is it true that Mr. Nitti's choice of color was an effort to match Royal Triton motor oil? I remember my Dad had a preference for that stuff.

  22. Hey Pat,

Down here in New Zealand I was going to high school in the early ninties when you introduced Deep Purple II to the Rod & Custom magazine audience. Yep, I was hiding those issues of R&C in my school books! Your writing style along with Gray Baskerville's really turned me on to traditional hot rods and customs. I have followed your work thru to The Rodders Journal and also been impressed to follow Bill's work at Roy Brizio Street Rods. Its all very influential when you are on the other side of the world like I am.
The roadster has turned out even better than I envisaged it when reading those R&C articles you wrote about it. In fact I would go as far to say that you have created something as iconic as the original Joe Nittie roadster but then knowing what rodding means to you through your articles I know that you wouldnt be into those kind of credentials anyway.
Way to go Pat, enjoy the car - we have!
    Best regards,

    Wow... amazing job..

Pat I spoke to you at the GNRS a few years ago and you mentioned you were looking
for a water pump with the heater outlet so you could run a cooler of some sort...Are you running that now?? and hows it working for you?? More Pix would be fantastic!! Love the color...

That car is "pure class", just like it's owner! Wow, that colour is so perfect, and yes I agree, it's surpassed the car that inspired it. Grand Slam, Pat.

Pat's '32 roadster is perfect, and he finished it off realy well...does anyone happen to have contact info for Dave Gade (who did the interior)? Last I heard he was working out of the Ontario airport in a hangar...I'd like to get in touch with him...please PM me if so...thanks in advance
