I am an avid fan of Woodies, and want to thank you for posting these. Woodies are extremly rare in Oklahoma, so I rarely see one.

If you would, please post more close up shots of the doors, tailgates, etc. I am also an avid wood worker, and love studying the various joints used to piece these cars together.

    Thanks again,
    Randy

The Chrysler T&C Sedans and Convertibles are magnificent cars and the Plymouth/Dodge/DeSoto Wagons are very nice too. Notice how few Bumper(wagon people call them "beauty") bolts are used on the non-Ford wagons and the number of "fingers" in the finger joints are tellers for quality construction.
As an old fella once told me, Ford wagons were built by carpenters the others by cabinet makers. Not that I don't like Ford wagons, I do, but they are definitely not the tp of the quality scale.

A guy who lives near me has a 46-48,not sure,Woody 4X4 that was used at a snow resort. Was it there? He said it's very rare!

  14. Thats why the Chrysler's are still mega money, the build quality is stunning on them.

Looks like a great location and some super woodies. Excellent photography makes you feel like you were there. Love the 35-36 Ford Woodies and there seems to be an abundance of 49, 50, & 51 Ford woodies. Great job and thanks for poasting.

Concretman thanks for the post, I had to cancell my room on Friday morning because of health issues I just finished my ride late last year and this was to be my first trip taking my woodie, hope next year to try it again, your pictures almost made me smell the salt air and feel that I was there, the 51 Ford wagon with the patina on the body and hood up is for sale in Canada if interested pm me seemed like a good buy................:D

Glad you guys had a good time, and great photos CC-Man! It was our 15th annual W.O.W. and most of us felt it was one of the best ever. Being out on a wharf, the weather is critical to its success, and this year's weather kicked ***. It got pretty crowded -- there was also a Corona Beer beach Volleyball tournament at the foot of the wharf that added to the throngs -- but if you came early it was awesome. Here are some pics from around 7 a.m. Aloha!

Hey all, go to National Woodie Club .com web site. Anyone can join, you do not have to own a woodie. Good site, good people. There are also lots of great books available on Woodies or Woodys.
