That's in Franklin (sp) N.C. I drove by it several times when my daughter lived in Highlands

 

On the way from Carlisle to the turnpike you pass this old repair shop that appears to have been closed for quite sometime. This time I decided to check it out and thought it was a pretty cool slice of time!
The tow trucks stickers expired 20 years ago.











































The coolest part though, was what was on the inside!! The picture quality is not that great, as I was getting some flash back and reflections - but you'll get the idea.


The first bay on the right was cluttered, but still workable -








The main portion of the garage was loaded with junk and treasures!! Sorry for the duplication, but each shot shows a little more then the other.




























The office was classic fifties!

This thing was insanely loud and outside my work yesterday. Had to snap a crappy cell phone pic while nobody was looking.

I'm guessing that's Hirohata and the famous Merc. I remember reading that he was gunned down in his parent's driveway...anybody know the rest of the story?
