Got ourselves way behind in frame building...almost caught up now.
Sorry to make you wait so long....
We always give stuff/frames nic names when we're working on them.

Well, this is a new version of the double Z frame.
Same spec's except we did a "swoop" in the front instead of the Z.
    So intruducing "swoopdog"

Crappy pictures..but that's my style. No time to set on top of beer cans this time..
    Already shipped 'er out.

Will work real well for a channeled car !!

That looks strangely familiar to me. There's a green T in my garage with a frame almost exactly like that with the exception of the front horns which are damn artful....Looks great Eric.

I'm a big fan of at least three builders already posting on this thread. I've delt with each of them in some way. Bob coached me on my sweep when I discovered he was already doing something I was thinking about. Rusty is my favorite grass-roots builder and Eric has done many, many HAMBers just in the parts business. I don't think there is anything here for anyone to be testy about. It's just another case of great minds thinking alike.

When I talked to Eric about what I wanted with the frame we talked specificaly about the Bleed sweep, I doubt he would try to take credit. Besides he never said this was a new thing he came up with.

Shit Bob. I used it too. Where do I send the royalty cheque?

It is a very simple and innovative (at the time) solution. It worked really well for me. I made no secret that I was inspired by your work and I don't think anyone on here would try to take the credit for it.

Long live the "Bleed Sweep T.M."

I'm not offended, I'm honered actually, but this did kind of piss me off.
Its wrong on a bunch of levels.......

There is a difference when some guy builds a frame for himself and is inspired.... AWESOME!! I'll help however I can..... I have many times.....
and someone who says this is the new frame I am offering for sale..... Its just different.

But its all good. maybe I just took it wrong? I have a lot of respect for Eric and his shop.

    Good luck. Really......

I dunno, I called up Eric and asked him to build it because I was inspired by your frame. I dunno if it's something he is offering up as a Riley product since he just built what I asked.
Anyway Eric, thanks for the frame, and Bob thanks for inspiring it.

ok, i guess i don't get it, bob do you take credit for inventing a swept frame? not trying to sound like a****** but guys have been doing that for a long time, seen it done on several old race cars on model a and 32 rails that probably date back to the 50-60's. more recently jimmy benitez has done it on several cars, i think the first one he did it on was that 28-9 rpu in the late 90's in the same time frame julio hernandez did it to a bunch of frames, randy clark at hot rods and custom stuff has been selling a swept 32 frame for years as well. maybe i'm just tired and taking some of these posts a little to serious and it's supposed to be a joke, but maybe not????

    anyways the frame looks good

    Yeah!Julio built a T Sedan on a sweeped A Frame in 2000 !
We drove it out to the Antique Nats back then.

Also if you want to keep a product a secret , it's not clever to show pics on the Internet (HAMB).
I don't see your point, Bob

I got a old old 32 chassie that was sweeped in the 1940's or 1950's don't know what they called it back then. I did see how to in the Little Pages 1950's Rod and Custom on sweeping a frame, I'll look thru the little guys and post the info.
