Keep the '28/29 grille, maybe get a stock-sized one? The one on there looks a little too small. Here are pics of my old '30 with both...the '32 shell should've been sectioned but I liked the other one so much, I just ditched it.

Not sure why the mirror became such an issue...cool car.

I would keep the A grill just to be different than everyone else.

  3. Duece grill way over done. There are more duece grills on Model As now then there were ever Dueces produced.

if i had to come up with something different and stay Ford I'd be looking at a model 40 grill. But its all a matter of personal preference I guess.

The scoop is farther down the list of things I'll be changing. Like I said in an earlier post, I'm still trying to find something for a four barrel carb that looks cool, otherwise I'll start saving up for a multi-carb setup somewhere down the road.

I bought it a few years ago from a guy who built it back in the 70's (he said I was the first person other than him to drive it in about 25 years), so it had huge 15x12 wheels on the back, weird low-profile radial tires on the front with some disc brakes from a Volkswagen or something. The engine's a pretty nice 327 SBC...

I'm just glad I didn't post a picture of the STEERING WHEEL

I'm gonna throw my two cents worth in for what it's worth.

I'm with the majority about the 28/29 shell,,,keep it,,or paint it yellow like the rest of the car.

Throw the mirror away and PLEASE get rid of the gay etched gl***

BTW,,I like the tall unchopped look of the stock windshield. HRP

  14. There are also more Dueces now then were ever originally produced, but I think that's a good thing, I agree with the model 40 grill, that would look nice and be different, good idea!

  15. Leave it alone! I've got a 32 grille on my 29 but it came with the package I bought, I may still change it for a 29 grille, but now pork&****** has me thinkin, if I don't stop changing **** I'll never get it done!!!

    Keep the grille.Nice car!

  23. I'm really partial to the deuce shell. It's traditional on '29's and goes wayy back.
Having said that, there isn't a day goes by that I don't look at my car and wonder what it would look like with a stock shell on it. Ala Tony Nancy.
Hell, I can't make up my mind! How am I gonna make up yours!?!
BTW, I think 2" out of the windshield would look better.

If you DO put a deuce grille on it.... it REALLY should be chrome plated....

The sectioned 'A' grille you have now doesn't look quite right. If the car had a stock height 'A' grille I'd say keep it.

Otherwise I'd say run a Deuce shell. If you want one, then run one.

32 all the way... Brians Roadster is a good example..

To me it finishes the car when its all painted,,,the lines flow better... the chrome shell is cool but it it looks off..thats just my opinion...
