Speaking of the Late Great Stan Bowman. The Flying Dutchman. You have not see Alt. Racing until you watched Bowman & Gretcho's go at it for an entire summer week in & wk. out! Stiff Competition!

  15. Wow, I haven't checked this thread in ages. The 'in motion' part of the title seems to be lost on a lot of posters.

Interesting as hell, but maybe there should be a 'stationary' thread as well?

I've been scanning old race negatives lately, found this sequence of photos....
    The driver was fine.
    Anglia suffered though.

Very nice series of some of the UDRA's better stuff. I had the chance to see Gordon-the Collector-Collect at both the Winternationals and Supernationals 69-71. The rainbow hued Challenger Virginia Twister of Kenny Warren came West once or twice as well. As for the whereabouts of Ultra Man, he is at the sun getting himself revitalized

  20. Mazooma1, #3 ( as a pretty young Slavic lady that I met a while back said) "you crack me out". I agree with everything you said, but #3 is just too funny...

Greatest thread ever, dupes or not, it all good. Keep them coming.

There's too much other shit to worry about in the World besides a duplicated photo??

I do remember the "Tahitian," it was built as a mate to the "Hawaiian," I think by a guy named Blake Edwards. It went through several owners, and Paul Gommi wound up with it. New driver Gary Patterson was killed in it when he went off the end at San Ferdando in it.

You're thinking about a car called "The Grecian" owned by Blake Hill. My dad drove "The Grecian" for a short time. And a "Gary" was killed in it at San Fernando but I think his last name was "Allen".

Caption said that the driver was "unhurt." Hard to believe though.

Absolutely agreed. A lot of people don't seem to get the concept, though I have to admit some of the stationary pics are cool too.

Some of them pretty much are a spoil on an otherwise UNBELIEVABLE thread though...

Could we please stick to "in motion" shots as the title more than suggests?
