Vic Jr. and their company produces quality products that work ! They have proved that a company can make their product right here in the USA and they are continuing to make more & more product right here .

So why can't the other companies do the same thing and bring back the jobs here in the USA ? It all come down to greed !

I thank the entire Edelbrock family for all their hard work to bring good quality product for all of us to use ! Your produces are well made and perform well too ! Plus you are still right here and made in the USA ! :D

I bought their direct port injection kit for my '90 chevy truck and found it to be a worthless piece of ****. After numerous calls to their tech line I was told I could bring the truck to a repair shop in Torrance that does a lot of work for Edelbrock. The repair shop told me "this kit is a piece of ****, we get these all the time." After the shop realized they could not make it run right they called Edelbrock who took my truck to their headquarters in Torrance and made the truck run a little better by installing a 3 wire O2 sensor, but I still had to pay the bill to the shop they recommended. I used the Chevy crate motor they recommended, Edelbrock heads, Edelbrock cam, Edelbrock headers and ruined a really nice truck. I live in SoCal so I was able to bring it to them, what does the rest of AMERICA do? Thanks Vic.

All the casting stuff is here. You can probably thank the EPA for all the chrome stuff that has to come from China.

I may have somewhat of a biased opinion 'cuz Edelbrock is a client of ours, but they are a top notch company with a lot of good people working there. They truly support gr***roots motorsports and without that support it wouldn't be the same.

Thanks Vic Jr, Smitty, Rick and the whole crew!

The museum in Torrance behind the distribution center is one thing that should be on everyone's list of places to visit. I used to work in the Shock Division. We had our Xmas parties at the museum... coolest damn place you could ever have a xmas party. They have sooooo much awesome memorabilia on the walls, development manifolds that you will never see, race cars. I have fond memories of that place, kick myself sometimes for leaving.
Vic is a great person. He takes good care of his employees and he is such an enthusiast of the hobby.

I just finished cleaning up my original 1938 Slingshot manifold and am now rebuilding the Holley 94s that will sit on top of it. I'll try and get some pics posted tonight.

Love/hate for me. Love the older script valve covers and the stuff it took to come out with the cool parts they have. Lopve that they support hot rodders and Americans. Love that they race vintage trans am and other stuff.

Hate how I was treated when I called tech support for help on a small block Ford with an E carb and an E intake. Bought the throttle hold down kit as suggested in the catalog and it was a POS that would not bolt to the intake or carb, and had no provisions for the throttle cable in the car. I was told that Ford made too many different cables for any kit to work with them all. I asked why it wouldn't fit the intake, and got a snotty answer that it was up to the customer to engineer that.
I ended up doing a better job with some s**** metal... Hate parts that are useless and wrong!

When it comes to ***es in customer service, the best thing to do is get a superior... Every company has some bad eggs answering phones for them (unfortunately, this is the norm at lots of places, but I hope to god Edelbrock would be far away from that list).

Just 2 weeks ago I got HORRIBLE customer service with a big electronics distributor. I wrote a civilized, yet very pissed, email to the guy I was dealin' with and got the email for the VP in charge of customer service (and somethin' else) and informed him I would be forwarding all the previous correspondence to him and allow him to resolve the situation. Within 2 hours I got a phone call from that guys direct boss, who proceeded to give me the 2 open orders I had with them for free with appologies. Didn't even have to email the VP; there's always someone there that cares about customer relations, you just gotta figure out who and how to get to 'em. ANYTHING that goes to a VP is gonna get resolved immediately and things get ugly for the ****head service rep.

When I put my Edelbrock carb on a Ford, I didn't need anything to hook up my kickdown dispite what everything said... 'course it had a kickdown rod. :D

I agree with everyone else it's great that Edelbrock has been able to stay alive and keep most of their manufacturing in the USA. I've had good success with all of the Edelbrock intakes and carbs I've bought over the years.

As far as the made in Japan valve covers. I've been a machinist for quite a long time and have used a lot of things that are manufactured in Japan like micrometers calipers, gauge blocks, CNC mills, and CNC lathes. They are all top-notch. Japanese engineering and manufacturing is very well done. Who do you think got them back on their feet after WWII, the good old USA. It's the Chinese **** that you have to watch out for.

Gotta agree with you there, I work in telecom/electronics and in general, everything made in Japan is of the finest quality with very strict QC. Same goes for camera gear, Canon started manufacturing some lenses in Taiwan instead of their usual Japan. Quality has certainly suffered as a result (I've broken the same lens twice. First and second were Japanese, third from Taiwan and even to hold it, the differences are quite obvious).

I don't really see Edelbrock doing anything wrong farming out some of the castings, especially to Japan. The parts made in the USA wear the badge, the parts that aren't, don't. They are still a stand-up American company that manufactures plenty of top-quality parts right here. Hell, I live in WV and one of the biggest employers is Toyota (I had to put together an in-building wireless phone repeater design proposal for the factory)... Japan farms alot of work out to us too, when it really comes down to it.

The **** comes from other southeastern Asian countries, like China and such. I would imagine the Japanese take just as much pride in quality craftsmanship as us. Not trying to start a ******* contest, just IMO.

Edelbrock products may be good but they have the worst customer telephone service of any company I've ever dealt with. It is impossible to buy parts without going through the tech line, which apparently never answers. I've tried for several days to buy shocks from them. I ask for sales, someone answers, I give them the part number, they tell me the number is good but I have to hold for the tech dept. I don't need tech help, I just want to buy the damned parts. I give up, they don't want my money, I'll go somewhere else.
