Got a new job in the auto industry and I finally don't have to turn wrenches all day!

They're sending me to LA in a couple of weeks for a few days of automotive product training. Not sure on details yet, but I'll be flying into LAX and will have a rental car. I'll be doing my training in Pacoima, CA. Not sure where I'll be staying yet.

If anyone in that area wants to take a Texas boy on a quick tour of CA, that would be great. I've never been to CA, and honestly, never really cared to, so this will be an interesting trip. I just don't want my first experience in CA to be company training and sitting in a hotel. I'll put up more info when I receive it. Details should all be worked out by the end of the week or early next week. Thanks.

If you want some bad ass Mexican food, you have to go to Campos or Gilbert's El Indio in Santa Monica. I prefer Gilbert's... plus it's a little dirty hole in the wall... outstanding...

In N Out is a must...I went to San Fran with the wife recently and most of the trip I was in a pissy mood because I was worried I wasn't going to make it to In N Out...all was right with the world on the last night we were there.

 

Back in the 80's we used to cruise Riverside and then pull into Dicks Panda Express and do a parking lot bullshit session and eat a whammy or two and them greasy ass fries. Dicks Drive In in Spokane is always a must.

yup when ever i go over there i see some of the most beautiful girls with some the fattest ugliest guys, and i think hey i have a chance, because im kinda festively plump but not ugly.

 

i went to disneyland with my sister, brother in lasw and both of my godsons last december, and all we ate every night was In N Out.. i thought it was a good idea at first, but after the 4th time there in a row in 2 days i got some bad gas, and cleared out the hotel room a few times.

 

Yep, I'll be stopping there in a couple of weeks on my way down South. The Mega-Combo rules.
