    Absolutely Awesome!!!

  3. I do believe Kiwi Kev's post #10 and post #212 is the same car. I guess after Alabama it was Memphis. Marshall showed me a picture of it when they were changing the roll bar when they got it. I believe I have a scan of it somewhere. Man, that car got around! (if I am correct) Check some of the chassis/cockpit details....

I was gonna' say Riverside until I spied the overpass at the end. San Fernando! Cool pic of Tony wheeling the car into the pits.

As far as Ts are concerned I always liked the Otie's car.

A drag roadster of the English persuasion circa 1964. Is being restored and will be at the 1st annual Dover Drag Strip nostalgia drags.

  15. This is awesome! Kev, what issue of Hot Rod is this from?
This was an old Dry Lakes roadster, it is pictured on pg-119 of The Birth Of Hot Rodding.

  22. Yaknow, I hear newbes at meets talking about how ratty our cars were "back in the day". Like they would have a clue.
The Nancy roadster is sure a ratty piece of home made junk isn't it !!??!!

Whew I thought it was just me. Looking at rat roads and the owners saying "that is how they used to run them" ................ And I'm thinking no way any of the cars that I saw and ran in my younger years looked anything like the "Stuff" they try and pawn off as "just like the old days".

If there was a ratty looking car back in the day it was a TEMPORARY condition while the scratch could be saved to get it to the owners standards and they would be embarrassed to have to be driving an unfinished rat because it was the only car they had.

There were a vast majority of good looking finished cars around compared to anything that would qualify for rat status today.
